This is perfect!!! So many people just joining this site need to read this and believe it! I started out at 190 and am now down to 125 - by working out (NOT 4 hours a day like some people think they need to),portion control and making healthier food choices. I still eat pizza, pasta, chocolate (my weakness  ) and…

I weigh myself every day but I don't log my "new weight" unless I've seen it stay there for about a week! LOL I don't wanna log it up a pound and back down, so I wait untill I stay the same weight for about a week or so then decide it's worth it :)

I trruly appreciate all the support and comments! It's been a long journey (lifestyle change NOT a diet)but it's something I can and will sustain! I've already made the commitment to myself that I'm NEVER going back to the 'old me' :)

Thanks so much for all the compliments!!! :flowerforyou: Glad some of you found my journey to be inspiring...yes my weight loss was slow but that taught me even more patience (I was always looking for a quick fix so this definately taught me that a 'quick fix' isn't what works!). Forgot to include in my original post that…

Thanks!! :blushing: You did understand correctly....I didn't gain any weight during my second pregnancy (lost 6lbs). I continued to work out for the first 6 months or so just doing simple strength training with the weight machines (avoiding ab exercise of course) and for my 'cardio' I just walked on a treadmill or outside.…

I am a new(ish) mommy as well :) I have a 3yr old daughter and a 5month old son.... I, like you, LOATHE working out! lol actually it's become a lot more tolerable now because I know it produces results! I have been overweight my whole life and just kinda dealt with it so I was never happy with 'me'.... I only gained 10lbs…

I am 5'2" and can tell you it is totally possible!! :) I have never given weight loss an honest attempt until I stumbled upon this website and it has completely changed my life! I have been overweight my whole life so I have never been happy with the way I look....in 2008 I had my daughter - pre pregnancy I weighed 180,…

I definately did this to keep myself motivated from day one!! I have always wanted to lose weight but never really made an honest attempt... that is until I stumbled upon this website! =) I started off at 190 and knew I wanted to get to a healthy BMI (I'm 5'2" so around 125-130ish). Thinking I needed to lose 60lbs to get…

I know the feeling! I saw a picture of myself on facebook a couple months back from my senior year in high school (8yrs ago) and *bleh* I wanted to crawl in a hole! My face was so chubby and I have no idea what I weighed cuz I didn't even own a scale at that time....if I didn't I wouldn't have had the courage to step on it…

Haven't really had any for quite a while but they are piling up now! 1)I've been called "tiny" and I never thought I'd hear that! 2)As I was walking through the parking lot to my car after work 2 guys in a truck slowed down and said "hey sexy"...granted I'm married and I don't think that its very classy to shout out the…

Well said! I've been doing this for 1 1/2 years now and have went from 190 down to 136 and I feel awesome (not quite at my final goal yet)! I have been overweight my entire life and I used to try to find that 'quick fix' of diet pills, etc but finally realized last year that if I want this bad enough I need to do the work…

Don't give up!! You just gotta have patience and will power =) Like previous posters have said - if you are cutting your calories and doing cardio you should start seeing results soon. I had been doing cardio and weight lifting for the past few months and actually gained some weight :explode: ....I was ready to give up but…
