I know it is very common but I dont really have any advice for you other than to try something more flexible. http://wannabebig.com/diet-and-nutrition/the-dirt-on-clean-eating/ "All-or-Nothing Dieting & Eating Disorder Risk In 1997, a general physician named Steven Bratman coined the term orthorexia nervosa [21], which he…

Fuel for awesomeness. Drink it, be awesome.

Calling your evening training circuit or HIIT is probably more accurate than using the term Tabata. Tabata is going as hard as you possibly can for 20 seconds then resting 10 and then going again. Most people cant even do the 4 minutes. 45 minutes of intervals is just higher intensity cardio. Edit: Not bagging on your…

Yes it is possible. Size of deficit, age, athletic experience, macros, training program, genetics will all be factors though and I would not expect a lot. Interesting article on it. http://spotmebro.com/lose-fat-gain-muscle/

Use a rack. You will quickly out squat what you can press up behind your neck. You are risking serious injury if you continue to try this method.

Just not pushing enough weight to need so much recovery built in to the program. I can still benefit from a faster advancement.
-
I just started it but so far it feels great. I was doing 5/3/1 for a long time and it was great but as much as I wanted it, I was not really advanced enough to need a program like that. This program is a great bridge between something like 5x5 and an advanced program.

Trutein is a good value and quality and it tastes amazing. I am currently taking the milk chocolate Wheyology by Trutein.

If all the calories difference was made up by protein I would not see a 10 lbs loss over 5 months as out of the normal range. Maybe the high end though. Protein does require a bit more to process but fat is about the same when compared to carbs. Factor in some water weight and satiety from higher protein and fat could…

Interesting. How much average weight loss do you see (per week) doing this?

I wore glove on heavy pulling lifts when I first started. Those lifts just really hurt my hands and the gloves helped. Eventually my hands toughened up enough not to need them which was good because I never really liked them. I would say use them when you have to but try to wean yourself off them when you can comfortably.…

It is probably still muscle related though. Age related loss of muscle (sarcopenia) is kind of a spiraling effect. Muscle loss can mean strength loss. Strength loss makes all activities harder. This leads to less activity which leads to atrophy of muscle, bone density, health problems and increased injury risk. This is…

You have to enter it under cardio/yoga. The strength training section is for logging your reps/sets/weight progression.

I use both also. Foam roller is great for large muscle groups like hams, quads and back. The stick roller is great for neck/trap area, forearms, triceps, calves or when you cant roll on the ground. I use a baseball for glutes. Cheap and works great.

It burns calories is low impact and uses your whole body if you use the handles. Enjoy.

If you have shoulder issues you may want to talk to a PT but I will post a video that helped me when I was starting to develop shoulder pain from bench press. I do this twice a week. No shoulder pain for two years now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRYmTEN_ZA8

I think you will be fine doing them like you are. You might not be getting good glute work but you can just add in other glute work to make up for it. http://www.exercisebiology.com/index.php/site/articles/are_deep_squats_bad_for_your_knees/ If you are a lay person who wants to look good and love having some heavy weight…

Trying is hard.

Sounds like a bad deal but if you have a lot of trouble eating enough and are burning off everything you do eat I would tell you to stop working out also. Get some reserves built up and get treatment for your condition. Then when you are healthy talk to your doctor about starting some strength training.

Not sure what your budget is but the best place to get an Olympic barbell and weights is probably going to be Craigslist. This is the setup I bought after buying a bar and weights off craigslist. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002OHQALU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1…

You can be confident all you want but the results dont lie. If you were in a deficit you would be losing weight. Gadgets are fun and all but it is still just an estimate. Same goes for food labels.

Sounds like you are eating too much if your goal is to lose weight. All calorie intake and activities are estimates and it is not hard to be off by 200-300 even when trying to be accurate or even one day of over eating can use up your deficit. Could be what is happening with you. Try to accurately weigh and measure your…
