  • thanks for the insights! and the website Wibikerlady!!! The only food I measure precooking is meat, so i may switch to a a standard system of post cooking weights.
  • you are such an inspiration! I'm in a bit of a slump right now, but find your story to be just what I need to get back on track. THANK you for sticking with this and reminding us we CAN accomplish what we want to....if we stick with it.
  • it's a cornmeal dish. I try to buy the ones in the meat market section that are packaged like sausage. it's mild (unless you buy one seasoned). I like it.
  • most good department stores (I shop at Dillards) should have a decent selection. Right now I'm wearing one I got at Ross for about $10,brand is Moving Comfort that I really like.
  • Been there, done that! it's SO frustrating! I have to agree with the poster who said you may need to actually eat more. if you're only taking in 1400 calories, but burning 300 exercise calories on top of your lifestyle/existence calories; it may be sending your body into starvation mode. I try to eat about 1/2 of my…
  • first, congratulations on your decision to become healthier! It is major decision and you've made the right one; super proud of you. second, congratulations on finding MFP! sometimes seeing things on "paper" makes a difference and while you can cheat, it's not much fun when you have friends helping and supporting you.…
  • I haven't been eating my exercise calories (on purpose, but not freaking out if I go over a little), but I haven't lost anything either since I've been exercising seriously. I've about decided to eat some but stay under 1/2. I always try to eat lots of protein after a workout to help rebuild the muscles. I think you'll…

HCG is a plan that's been in use in Europe since the 1950's and it works. yes the diet can be restrictive (NOT calorie driven...specific food driven) for a short time (30 or 45 days) and for a short time after.…
  • I think my food diary is open....consistently over on my protien, under on my carbs and fats; have had a cookie or two (1 per day). trying to eat close to my goal, and not eat my exercise calories.
  • I'm in too! this will be exciting.
  • I just finished my first go with HCG.....started Labor Day weekend; have lost 30 pounds as of this morning. the diet is restrictive, but I really didn't think it was bad. I was only hungry twice in the 45 day program. I figure I can do about anything for a short amount of time. Am planning on doing another round right…
  • I'm in the weigh daily group. I feel like it allows me to stay motivated while losing and stay honest when I hit a plateau. I'll probably weigh daily the rest of my life....or at least until I'm convinced I am where I need to be and can maintain.
