OMG! I have this. I notice heavy breathing through the nose, can't stand the sound of people chewing gum or eating chips. Mouth smacking while eating makes me want to crawl out of my skin. LOL!!!!

^^ Agree on the HRM. I always minus 10-15% of calorie burn when logging. They are not 100% accurate. They are just a tool.

Oh I did follow the rules this weekend. Thanks for letting me know that I was right on track!!!! GO CARDS!

awww man! I thought this was a thread about Basketball. I was excited.

Thank you for bringing the word "net" into the conversation. I read posts all the time about 1200 calories but rarely do I see people using net or gross in their conversation and they are two different things. :flowerforyou:

You are female. Our weight will sway up and down all the time depending on the time of the month. Everyone has water weight that causes the scale to go up and down as well. You could weigh something different through out the day hour by hour. The best thing to do is only weigh weekly at the same time. Measure weekly and…

Well...there you go. I think you have your answer. Feel good about yourself and just think about how she is acting out because she does not feel good about herself.

Are you smaller than her now?

^^ Now that is the best sweetest revenge ever! Good for you!

I gain weight every month and a week later it all falls off. I know this so I don't let it bother me. Just chalk it up to what is going on with my body that week. Try to drink plenty of water and keep moving.

Welcome!!!!

Always have a protein bar with me just in case.

Having a treadmill and weights at home is great! Start out walking daily and then lift weight. Walk as far as you can then the next day walk a little longer. Since you already have weights you can google workouts for weight lifting and it will suggest how many reps and what exercises to do daily. Just lift heavy. Your last…

Lift Weights and measure weekly. Sometimes the scale does not move but you are still losing inches.

No. Calories in vs Calories out.

OP - Don't feel bad about asking a question that has been asked before. There is no rules on MFP saying you can't. I don't know why it bothers people so bad on the forums. If they see a question that has been asked they can just skip it and go on with their day. People who don't mind will help you and answer your question.…

I have tried a lot of them over the years. Slim and 6 and all the Jillian DVD's are good but if you get bored easy I would not suggest. You do the same thing everyday until you move to the next level then again are doing the same thing everyday. That was my problem. Boredom and some of the workouts were not long enough for…

^^^^ Same here. It was great for just starting out but I was bored quickly. Not enough workouts for me and I can't do the same thing everyday. I switched to P90X and then added Turbo Fire. Many more workouts and they don't have you doing the same thing everyday.

Don't give up but measure weekly. The first two months the scale hardly moved for me but I was losing around a 1/2 inch a week. Sometimes an inch. Then after that the scale started to follow. Really measuring is more motivating than the scale. So many things can make your weight go up and down when you are still making…

I used MFP calorie burn when I started then bought a HRM. I was burning much less than I thought or MFP said during exercise. I will say that when I was heavier and more out of shape I burned a lot more than I do today. One year ago doing an exercise for an hour gave me a 600 plus burn. Now I am only burning around 430. So…

I have the fitbit ultra. Love it. Keeps me motivated. I was leery of the flex because you wear it on your wrist. I was thinking how is that going to work at a desk job when I am moving my arms all the time answering the phone, moving my mouse, typing, writing ect.... I emailed fitbit about it and they said that it is…

Ya!! That is why I wish people would use the words NET and GROSS when in discussions on the message boards. It gets confusing if all people are reading is a topic on 1200 calories. 1200 calories NET and 1200 Calories Gross are two different things. I know it was very confusing for me when I first started MFP and thought I…

Excellent!

Very true on the HRM.

When I first started on MFP I did not get it either and thought I was going to die just eating 1200 gross a day! Once I figured it out and started eating right the weight started falling off. I would just try to get lots of protein and healthy fats. That will help you reach your calorie goal. Like Peanut Butter,…

I am so glad you used the word NET in your post. It is so refreshing. Most of these conversations don't even reference net or gross. To answer your question I am set at 1200 and there are days that I burn enough that even if I eat 1600 calories I have not netted 1200. So my thought is if I am hungry I will eat them. If not…
