You will love it!

You will love it. I was in the same boat. Needed a little change. I love the combination of them both.

I do P90X. I also started out doing more reps. I listened to Tony's advice about keeping good form but should be struggling a little with the last rep. So I upped my weights recently and I can tell a difference.

^^^^^ Agree. The first two months my scale hardly moved at all. But I was losing 1/2 inch to an 1 inch a week. I would measure weekly.

I do P90X and use Turbo Fire HIIT classes to get in my 15 to 20 minutes are Cardio after weight lifting. I love it.

Loved this post and the responses. Makes me feel great and to not give up. My goal this year is to be able to do at least one real push up and one real pull up. Will just keep pressing on!

I go by the week not the day. Some days I am over and some days I am under. As long as I hit goal by the end of the week I do fine. If I am over by 500 one day I will do an extra work out or try to be under by a 100 or so for a few days to make it up.

I am not talking about eating over your calorie allowance for the day. She asked about eating back exercise calories.
-
Listen to your body is about eating calories back when you are already at a deficit. I thought we were talking about MFP? Not just listen to your body and eat because you feel hungry. All I meant was if I have calories left within my allowance and I am hungry I will eat them. If I have already eaten 1600 or more and not…

Ok, understand what you are saying. The OP asked for advice. I gave mine. What works for me. You can give yours on what works for you. Then she can see what works for her. Don't get me wrong I believe in eating them back. But if I have already eaten over 1600 calories for the day and am not hungry I am not going to go put…

I understand your frustration but there is no MFP rule saying a topic can't be posted over and over. :flowerforyou:
-
If I am hungry I eat them or drink them :drinker: . If I am not hungry I don't. Listen to your body.
-
^^^ Agree. I don't worry about sugar. I worry about Protein and hitting calorie goal.
-
Same thing happened to me and my husband. We have cut out fast food and try to eat mainly at home cooking for ourselves. We were on a trip and went through a McDonalds. We both had grilled chicken sandwiches and both became sick to our stomachs that night into the morning.
-
^^ Agree. I was not losing on the scale but was losing inches.
-
LOL!!!!!
-
Going to see Bon Jovi tonight so maybe another day!

You are already set at a deficit by MFP. So if you just sit on the couch all day then you are still burning more than you eat if you are logging calories correctly. If you work out you have created and even bigger deficit and can eat them back. The key is to net 1200 calories. Not gross but net! :)

^^^^^^ This ^^^^^^ If I am hungry I eat them. If I am not then I don't. Listen to your body. But I agree with the above. If I bank some that is calories I can be over on another day.
-
Agree. Measuring is more important than the scale for progress.
-
Measure weekly. Sometimes the scale does not move. Sometimes it goes up and then goes down. My first two months on MFP I was not losing weight but was losing an 1/2 inch to an inch a week. Then the scale started to follow.

Let's Go by Calvin Harris. Love in the song how he says It matters where you are going not where you have been and make no excuses now.

I use it as my sour cream.

Same here. 30DS bored me to tears. To much of the same thing everyday. You don't have to worry about tuning out Chalean. LOL! She is great and there are so many workouts that you can't get bored. I will tell you on the P90X some people think Tony is annoying. I like him. But! The great thing about his workout DVD's is it…

Wow. Never heard anyone say that about TF before. Sorry it did not work for you :( I actually think it is pretty tough and I am a P90X person as well.
-
I do a hybrid of P90X and Turbo Fire. I don't know how to post pics here but you can look at my profile and see my before and after. I have it posted there in pics. I will tell you I love it. Chalean is so motivating. I love P90X for weight lifting but on days I want a bigger burn I do a Turbo Fire hit class after lifting.…

I am set at 1200 but actually eat around 1600-1800 a day based on how much I move or how hard I work out. I go by the week not the day. So my goal is to stay in my calorie range for the week. If I am hungry I eat them. If I am not hungry I don't. I just listen to my body. On days that I end up banking a few hundred then I…

I think if you had said what you said first plus your reply above "together" it would have come across different. I do understand what you are saying. My doctor saying something to me got me moving as well.
-
I love mine. I don't use fitbit website though. I just use MFP and have my fitbit linked to it. It is a great motivator. It really helps you understand how much you actually move through out the day. I find myself walking around the house in circles trying to get all my steps in for the day.
-
I have compared my HRM calorie burn to my fitbit calorie burn and they usually are pretty close. I also have a desk job and sit most of the day. So I have myself set to Sedentary both on MFP and Fitbit. So when it gives me more calories because I happened to move more than being sedentary I keep them. It has worked for me.…
