  • I totally agree with Meridian43 and how could you argue with that picture. Great results from hard work and following a good diet. I do have to say, that following the nutrition plan for the first 4 weeks is tough. Getting that amount of protein just from food is almost impossible. I had to get whey protein. It really…
  • gisii I think it's best if you do the whole program the first time around if you want results. It's tough to just spot train certain parts of the body. The program works the entire body along with a solid nutrition guide. I have completed two rounds and am starting a third. The first round I didn't miss any routines, I…
  • ErinCatherine congrats on your progress so far. Hope you make it all the way. So what do you think of p90x and how does it compare to the gym? What's been the hardest routine for you? I ended up almost dreading Yoga but really liked Plyo. It is tough trying to eat a lot of protein the first few weeks. but diet is very…

  • klouttit don't worry so much about missing an exercise. Look at this whole routine as a life change and that you will be doing some sort of exercise for a long long time, not just 90 days. I think everyone wants to get into great shape in the 90 days, but what about after that? Missing a few days over a couple years is…

  • Another vote of yes. Made it thru 2 rounds last yr and started again this yr. Great program even if you are not in too of shape (just need to modify all the movements until you get stronger). Lost 35 lbs 190 to 155. A few people did not even recognize me anymore. I would try and find a used set on craigslist. Then look for…
  • klouttit I have read that a 4 to 1 (carb to protein) food is good for recovery from a workout. Not sure how peanut m&m stack up but I bet they are close. AJCM I noticed the same thing but I am a guy and that's nothing new. Anyhow, my wife went 5 wks thru the program and nothing for her. Maybe a combination of weight loss…

  • snkeller24 just keep pushing play. You will feel great after completing each workout. Just the satisfaction of knowing how hard you pushed yourself and making it thru is a great motivator. If you can't keep up at first don't worry, you will get stronger. Make sure you follow the diet or something close. You won't get the…

  • kamsue101 are you doing the classic version? If so, what did you think of Plyo? If that is not that difficult for you as far as cardio, you should move to Insanity. Anyone who really likes cardio should try it. I completed a couple rounds of the X and went to insanity. The warm ups are harder than Plyo. AJCM are you…

  • If you really like cardio, then try insanity. Even if it becomes too much for you or you don't like doing cardio everyday, you can always do a mix between p90x and insanity. Keeps things kind of fresh. I will admit that the off week in insanity is the same workout and that got old. Also, I have just about quit doing the ab…
  • I completed two rounds of p90x before I even attempted insanity. It's like plyo without the breaks. I was 43 and in great shape and it really kicked my butt. NO WAY would I have ever been able to do it without p90x. Plyo was very tough at the beginning, but by the end of my second round, I could make it all the way thru…
  • I would use the dumbells if you already have them. There are times when you need to modify when using bands because of your grip. I think one pull up bar will do the trick (one can rest while the other works). My wife and I went thru the program a year ago and we both appreciated the extra rest while the other one suffered…
  • I would go with p90x and modify for the first 90 days and then push yourself if you do the workouts again. There are lots of ways to make the program a lot easier if you watch how some of the moves are modified. When I started, I could only do a few pullups, so I used a chair until I got stronger. You can also use bands…
  • Hey Mollygraves keep up the good work. Hope you stick with it and get great results. What do ya think is the toughest workout so far? What kind of results have you both gotten? It's always nice to hear from people who are just into it because they have so much enthusiasm. Thanks and good luck
  • Hey don't sweat it. It's tough finding the time to get the workouts in. Just remember that you don't need to get them all done in just 90 days. Make it a life change and try and get something done everyday but if you can't there is always tomorrow. That way you won't stop after 90 days. I made it thru two rounds and took…
  • Spend the money and change your life. You will find that getting the dvd's is the easy part, working hard and finding the time can be tough. At first you will be hooked and look forward to the workouts. They are very good as far as I am concerned but finding the time to keep up with the program can and is difficult. I…
  • Hey great price. Hopefully it has all the guides with it. Diet is very important as with all workout programs. I have gone thru the program twice and am currently starting it again. Took most of the winter off. To get results you will need to work hard and do it everyday. That is probably the toughest part of the program…
  • There are a few sites on the internet that have all that info, but it takes a bit of searching. Can't remember where I found some of it but one site had all the workouts to record on your computer. You could enter all the data from each workout to track your progess. It also had the nutrition guide.
  • Hope your kid is ok. Made it thru Plyo yesterday and Arms and shoulders today. Still a long way to go but working at it. Might not go thru all of Yoga tomorrow. Always was the toughest workout as far as I was concerned.
  • Not sure if it's a good pain. Can hardly walk today. My calves are on fire. Hopefully I will make it thru X stretch and be ready for Plyo on friday.
  • Made it thru Legs and Back last nite and am very sore tonite while doing Kenpo X. Now I remember why I always get DOMS with Legs and Back. Great workout but it will be a killer to walk for the next few days. Glad to see everyone so excited. Sure helps with the motivation
  • Just started today, but my real start up date will be this thursday. I like the first day to be on thursday because it works well with my schedule. I did Legs and Back today just to start on March 1st. Have done two previous rounds of the X, and a half round of Insanity. My second round of X, I included the insanity…
  • Hi, I think p90x is doable. I have completed 2 rounds. I started at 190 and am down to 160. The first few weeks will be very tough and you will get sore, but pace yourself and eat good. Nutrition is very very important. It keeps you energized and you are going to need it. I was contemplating starting insanity for quite a…

  • Great program to say the least. Will be finishing my second round next week. Diet is very important. Trying to get enough protein the first four weeks will be tough unless you use whey protein. Eating clean will also be important to keep your energy levels up for the workouts. Plyo will be tough at first, but just take…
  • Calender age 43.5. Real age 32.2 Must be the p90x and diet. I guess I need to take vitamin E and asprin. NOT. Oh and I need a dog. LOL.
  • I started the program at 190lbs. I am 5'9", and was chubby. I now weigh 157, but I am halfway thru another round. I did make it to 160 for the first 90 days. I tried to stick with the 2400 cal/day most of the time. I really only went to 2000 calories on days with yoga and stretching. The program is not designed to lose…
  • Try EAS. Use chocolate and vanilla together and mix with a blender. I think the vanilla is better than the chocolate, but mixing them together seemed to taste better to me. I had tried Bodyfortress and didn't like it . Without protein whey, I couldn't eat enough protein to take in 50% of my calories.
  • Casi, are you on the fat shredder part of the program? I think for the first 3-4 weeks (phase I) you should be trying to get 50% of calories from protein, 30% from carbs and 20% from fat. (lean fat). I found it difficult to get 50% calories from protein until I started using whey protein. Try and stay at the recommended…
  • I have gone thru 1 complete round of p90x and have started my second round. Absolutely a great workout, but it takes dedication and time. I have lost 30 lbs and lots of inches. Went from a 40 waist to a 32. I think the results are different for everybody, but most people will see great results even if they don't lose…

  • I also had trouble with the whole nutrition program, but really made the effort to stick with it. The only times I lowered my calorie intake was during the rest week or if I did just yoga or stretching. Whenever there was a tough workout, I tried to get to the 2400. I also remember during the first four weeks of the…
  • I am trying to lose weight (really the fat) and then build back some muscle from there. I see from your website that you did something similar. Would you have changed anything? How about your diet? Do you stick with the 60% carbs and 20/20 fat protien? I am a bit worried about getting fatigued in the last four weeks, but…
