When I hit 12% body fat. There's no weight goal involved. When I hit it, I start putting on muscle. And never exceed 15%.

Not sure I'm comfortable with the tone of judgement this post reeks of (and complete ignorant insensitivity). Low carb diets (apart from being a very effective fat loss tool) can be necessitated by many medical conditions too. Currently in a keto cutting cycle. Going great. Feeling great. Loving cheese.

I eat a 125g slab of fresh mozzarella before bed, and losing.

I do have a cheat weekend. Except I never call it a cheat weekend. I call it a carb-up. I'm currently cutting on Keto so I won't be found dead near sugars or starch. But come saturday and sunday - popcorn with the movies, M&M's, waffles, pancakes, McDonald's, Pizza, you name it, I'm on it - as long as I don't exceed…

It's just water weight. One night (hell, I say even a week to get back on the horse) isn't going to make you obese. I'm sorry to hear about your situation though :( But don't let your diet add to your stress. If you need to take a break and not think about what you're eating (while staying within reason) for a few days -…

To my knowledge, there's nothing wrong with needing to pee every 1-2 hours. It's probably a good sign of staying hydrated actually. The only thing you could do (and I do know people who've done this) to make it worse it to reduce your water intake

Provided you don't find yourself finding excuses too often, there is absolutely nothing wrong with letting loose - we're humans, not machines, and I hold emotional health very highly. You're not going to get fat in one sitting - even if you exceed your cals by say 500(!!!!!!!) for they day, big whoop.
-
But, I don't WANT a 35,000 calorie deficit in 10 days :(
-
Lol, its an assisted pullup machine, and that is FRIGGIN hilarious

Oh yeh and fish oils. There will be days when I will literally pop like 5-10 Omega3 pills

I have a similar daily caloric intake to you - what works best for me is to have a lunch rota of good fats: Avocado 200g Smoked Salmon Olives/Feta combo salad of sorts Also, Add natural PB to your shakes, and find excuses to use a bit more olive oil (eggs in the morning, meats, salads etc) Do this and 90g of a beautiful…

This. With only 13 pounds to shed, you should be going at a nice steady pace of 0.5 pound per week.

I'm going for 1.5 activity level This is with weightlifting 4 times a week and 2 x cardio on days off. Other than that, I'm self-employed, and move around a fair bit, when I'm not sitting at my desk in my study.

You're absolutely right, it's all down to bf reduction now (and of course building lean mass). Katch-McArdle puts me at 2100, which seems realistic. Maybe just a matter of patience and perseverance...

I've been aiming for just under 2,000. Of course, the weight hasn't budged even a bit on the scales in forever, but I have lost inches on the waistline. It's stalled now, but still making gains with my lifts. I really don't know how to proceed in light of this :p

2,460 cals for 15% cut. Seems a little high!!!! I'm 5"10', currently 80kgs, lift heavy 4 times a week with a bit of cardio mixed in on the off days.

Don't want to sound repetitive, but: a) it'll drive the point home b) this brings back cringe-worthy memories, so I MUST react. IGNORE THE WEIGHT GAIN. It's merely a reaction of your slowed metabolism to a PROPER amount of calories. Keep at it, and watch those pounds melt away in the most healthy fashion ever. You said it…

It really boils down to your daily macros and net calories. In addition to 4 meals a day, I take a scoop of whey protein with skim milk as soon as I wake up (body in fasted state), and a post-workout shake which consists of 300ml milk, 1.5 scoops of whey, 1tbspn peanut butter and a banana (adding up to a whopping 430…

Scientifically, I don't see any basis for the number 17 other than a marketing gimmick. Everybody (particularly people who are in need of lifestyle changes, or "diets") is at a different metabolism setting - some might take a lot longer than others for the fat to start melting of healthily.
-
This. Any diet which makes you think of these things as "slip-ups" is clearly perpetuating unhealthy habits and beliefs relating to weight loss
-
Surely not!!!! 30 pounds in 17 days is a daily deficit of over 6,000 calories - physically impossible really
-
Hi there, I'm not familiar with the 17-day diet. Could you specify what kind of daily nutrition plan you have, whether you're exercising (and how much) and perhaps maybe make your diary available for viewing? People might be able to help you much more that way

Ok thanks, that does clarify a lot. I've been giving myself an average of "500 calories remaining" per day - this is not to say I'm throwing myself into starvation, I still eat at least 1800 cals, it's the exercise.
