So last week, i decided to follow advice. I increased my workouts and was burning 600 calories per day, and then eating back all ym exercise calories (which i was enjoying by the way)!!! lol.

At the end of the first week, i have gained 3.2lbs.

I guess i would go back to not eating the exercise calories back.

Sad!

You have only given it a week, it usually takes around 3 weeks for yuour body to settle to the new calorie level.

One week is not long enough to see the benefits. :) Patience is needed while your body adjusts.

What are you using to estimate your calorie burn? The machines at the gym often give a very elevated estimation of caloric burn. If you are not using an HRM, then I suggest that you halve the amount of exercise calories that you are entering. As others have mentioned, it may actually take a few weeks for your body to adjust to a new calorie level so you may want to wait and see even though that feels scary right now.

Don't want to sound repetitive, but:

    a) it'll drive the point home
    b) this brings back cringe-worthy memories, so I MUST react.

IGNORE THE WEIGHT GAIN. It's merely a reaction of your slowed metabolism to a PROPER amount of calories. Keep at it, and watch those pounds melt away in the most healthy fashion ever. You said it yourself, you're enjoying it. This process is supposed to be enjoyable. No lifestyle change which involves pain or discomfort should ever be subscribed to.

You have to eat clean food back- not junk/fast food. What are you eating?

Was your weightloss attempts successful before? If so, why did you change everything?

It is also, all very well for people to say you haven't given it enough time, but be careful, as you say you have only two months to go before you need to fit into your dress.

Always, ALWAYS do what works for you and not what other people say you should do xxx

Your diary is blank for the past week. Are you sure you were eating at a deficit?

600 calories and eating exercise calories is still too low unless you want a very slow metabolism amd eventually stall not to mention lose muscle. Yes once you eat an adequate amount then exercise you will first gain then slowly start to lose. However 800 is not an adequate amount. Did you mean 1600? What is your BMR and TDEE?

Burning 600 calories per day is more than I do, and I am losing weight just fine...

But as taso42 said... There's a blank diary, so WTF?

I was going to mention the same. I peeked at your diary. Just to also see what your eating. I see some high calorie foods (when you do fill it out) you may want to cut them out.
Just some advice, (maybe your writing on paper?) but I really do so so much better when I write it ALL down! No keeping it in my head. Make some healthy choices of foods. Also it doesnt look like when you do track that you eat much. Maybe your not eating enough throughout the day (they say were supposed to have 6 small meals throughout the day)
Maybe eat only half your calories, but not every single day. I eat approx 1200 daily and I do go over sometimes. I do not always eat my burned calories either.
Everyone is different but I just wanted to throw out some ideas to you.
    Good luck!!!
&Congrats on the wedding in 2 months! That dress will fit you!!!

if you want to fit into a size 10 dress, focus on inches, not weight! i would suggest a jillian michaels workout - either 30 Day Shred or Shredded in 30 (since you have two months, you could conceivably do both). These workouts are pretty quick, but they can give you great results, especially if you're thinking about inches and eating right.

So keep eating your exercise calories and focus on building your muscle and losing those inches!

    Congratulations!

A gain of 3.2lb of -fat- would mean you at 11,200 extra calories last week, or an extra 1600 calories every single day on top of what you were eating. Unless you really were eating that much more, it's probably water weight.

Your body is thinking 'Finally, I can plan ahead for all these crazy exercises I've been doing' and stores glycogen (quick energy from carbs) in water, increasing the amount of water your body is holding. This won't significantly change your measurements, but your scale will go up.

Have you been taking measurements? See if those have changed. An even better indicator is body fat %. If the 3.2lb you gained was really fat you would see that number shoot up. There are lots of ways to measure body fat, some more accurate than others, but if you use the same method every time, you should see a progression. In other words it doesn't matter if the number really accurate so long as it's done the same way, you'll know if you are moving in the right direction.

If you haven't started using these measurements, start doing so- they are really a better indicator than the scale. I found that out the hard way, watching my scale go down, then stall. I started upping my calories in March and my weight shot up almost 10lb. I was horrified...all that work, down the drain! But my measurements didn't change. I still 'looked' the same and still fit into the same clothes. If I were really 10lb heavier I would never fit into my clothes.
As of today my measurements were down a little and my bodyfat was down 2% over 4 weeks. No clue if the weight has gone down-I put my scale away so I would not look at those numbers.

What's working (finally) for me might not work for you. And with a wedding in 2 months I can understand your worries. All I can say is to take a look at -all- of your numbers and don't concentrate on just one.
