yes, i track it too. started tracking it after i didn't drop any weight for 3 months. i go over about 3 to 4 times a week. seems like i am either really low or a tad over. can't find the medium range. i don't worry too much about it, but will try to go with a lower sodium option of an ingredient if available. i have heard,…

nice tips so far...a few i have learned along the way... i precook a lot of meat on the weekends. then just cut it up when i need it. note: i LOVE cold steak and chicken. i buy a gallon of water everyday. most days i drink most of it. it is easier for me to track my water level by seeing how much is left in the gallon,…

i track my protein and it is the only one i don't worry about. recently, about the last 3 weeks or so, i am trying to get as much as i can. have never worried about going over. however, i am mindful about breaded chicken and stuff like that. while, yes, the chicken is protein, the breaded or marinades and stuff adds other…

my polar ft4 is with me every single time i work out. had it for a few months now. easy to use, comfortable to wear, easy to read, about 60 bucks. looked in to the ft7, but seemed to do more than i needed. determine what you want it to do, compare some brands and make an educated choice. good luck.

1. i made a salad to go with my lunch even though i didn't want to make it or eat it. 2. i pushed thru a yoga pose that i usually skip b/c it makes me want to faint, throw up, and cry all at the same time. neither of those happened though. 3. i ate according to plan, and made some good dinner choices. 4. i helped put away…

it depends on how long you have been stuck at the same weight. i was the same for about 3 months. tried a bunch of stuff i read on here...mixed up my exercises, didn't exercise, ate whatever i wanted for two or three days, ate as little as i could for two or three days. just read a post where someone suggests an ice cold…

you know those buttons on dress shirts at the wrists? there's always two buttons... i;ve had to use the inside one b/c the sleeves were too wide! i've purchased three belts this year, all b/c i've run out of holes to use, but not b/c the belts were too small like in the past, but now b/c they are too big! i can finally…

i go to my hot yoga class 2x a week, supplement the workouts with elliptical about 4x a week. in nicer weather, i would walk almost every day. no one can really tell you if it is enough for you. give it a three week trial and see what happens. good luck.

A LOT! b/c what i am becoming is so much better than what i was!

great job! i, too, for the first time ever worked out on christmas. you done good!

this. love my polarft4. and the food scale is really good. i don't weigh every single thing, but it gives me an idea of what 4 oz of steak or 6 oz of chicken looks like. good luck.

if you are blaming someone else, you aren't ready to do anything about it yet.

congrats to everyone above. great job. i can't wait to post my list, but short on time, so i'll come back in a day or two. great thread!

wow! awesome job!

love my polar ft4. had it for 2 months. love it!

go to a orthopedic doctor. asking for medical advice on here is wasting your time. go to a doc. make sure he orders an mri and xray. anything else short of this and he is pretty much just guessing.

you lost so much weight, your tattoo had to switch legs! awesome work!

these are all awesome guys! great job to everyone! for me...while food shopping today i ran in to friends of a relative of mine. we see each other a few times a year at bbqs at my relatives house. by the time we saw each other it was only a split second for both of them to comment on my weight loss. what made it cool today…

that's awesome! i love when little things (or big things, i guess) pop up like that. so unexpected, but so motivating!

thanks for the advice. i think i do need a schedule to follow. for the longest time it was just "work out when i can" b/c i never really knew what each day was going to bring. as i move in to a maintenance level of my weight, perhaps the 3 or 4 days a week of cardio will be enough to stay where i am. and tone the other…

thanks everyone! as i've said, i couldn't have done it without the inspiration and knowledge provided by everyone on this site. i lost 20 pounds on my own, then found this site and it has done wonders for me. this is the most i've lost and kept off the longest. i look forward to my almost daily workouts and just love being…

thanks everyone...and i think i finally got the pics to a manageable size.

i finally got the pics to show, but now they are huge...help!?!?!?!

"hail!" fellow redskins fan here, living in ny. and to make the post relevant to mfp, i wouldn't say a huge deficit once in a while would be bad for you. i think it would kind of even out over a few days or a week or so. but i think if you have huge deficits for a sustained period of time, it might be bad for you.

we are currently at the southern tip of ireland, perhaps enjoying a brew or two and taking in some music and dancing. while i am sure it is nice, lets not stay too long!

love my trek 7.3 hybrid. easy enough for the road, sturdy enough for light to medium trails. took it on a difficult trail and the bike survived, but i had to work much, much, harder. i at least recommend you check it out. search the forums, there are tons of recommendations on here. good luck!

youtube. or your local library probably has videos you can rent for free.
