15 calories / 9 grams of fat = 1.67. The labeling probably just rounded to 1 gram of fat?

This applied to me exactly!! I would always choose the lower calorie option in the database...to my own detriment! Now I weigh and adjust the calories accordingly. If it goes in my mouth, it goes in my log. I burn much less than a lot of people appear to. Zumba at 300 calories, etc, when other people claim 600-1000…

Oh it has come up before. Every subject has had it's moment in the spotlight on MFP at some point in time. Here are some more numbers to make your head...err...just read it. http://www.caloriesperhour.com/tutorial_pound.php

Hi my name is Stormie and I'm addicted to beer, cigarettes, and ice cream. I've given them up for my health, however.

I don't have enough information to address your issues directly, but I'll tell you what happened to me and maybe it will help. For more than 8 months, I plateaued. I nearly gave up. I dropped out of my groups here, I hid all my feeds and I struggled along, stuck. As time went by without any change, I began to care less and…

I compromise with my 1st grader (age 6). We make her lunch 3 days a week and she gets to eat school lunches on Friday (pizza) and one other (she chose Wed for the chicken nuggets). That way she doesn't feel like a total outsider, but still eats mostly healthy foods. Due to her upbringing, if given the option between veggie…

I have never in my life had to diet. :blushing: I generally weigh between 115 and 130, depending on my activity level at the time. Except for pregnancy and until now. I gained and lost 67 pounds with my first pregnancy (took 3 months). I gained and lost 55 pounds with my second pregnancy (took 3 years). But this last one,…

The closer you are to goal, the less of a loss per week your goal should be. Try setting it to 1 or 1/2 pound per week instead of two. The site will never give you a goal of less than 1200 calories (W.H.O. determined to be the minimum calories a women requires in order to avoid malnutrition). But that may be too little if…

I weigh, measure, and log everything (except spices). I use a Fitbit to measure activity level. I eat part of my exercise calories and I graph my progress in order to be able to see what I need to change/correct.

I love it! Great story...:drinker: Sorry I don't have any CAN-DO, but I can help support if you'd like another friend :).

Mine is public. When I first started this, I got tons of good ideas from looking at other people's food choices. I'm always open to suggestions too!

MFP recalculates your calorie goal every 10 pounds of loss. Just be sure you record the losses in "check-in".
-
Every day, first thing in the morning. I only record the new lows, however. I vary as much as 3 pounds from day to day and night to morning.

I suggest eating part of them, in case of errors in calculation. And yes, be patient :flowerforyou: . One's body doesn't know that it's supposed to release that 1 pound prior to weigh in day. Sometimes, it holds on to the fat for an extra few days or even weeks and then you'll drop a bunch at once. I graphed my weight loss…

I weigh and measure carbs and proteins, but estimate veggies. I was wayyyyyyy off before I started doing this, by the way. Enough to seriously dent my presumed deficit.

Funny, my uncompromising goes the other way. I absolutely will not touch a fast-food burger or fries. Have zero interest in anything with MSG, HFCS, aspertame or nitrites in it. MSG and aspertame give me migraines and I can smell the nitrites in meat /retch. If I'm going to go all out with the calories and fat, it will be…

I can't hold a conversation doing anything other than walking. If i try, it comes out as grunts (singing too). To me, the difference between running and jogging is the same as the difference between walking and strolling. One implies lack of effort. Since I'm definately making an effort, I choose to call it running, tyvm.

I play Wow and just recently retired from EQ after 8 years. It's very easy to overdo it and waste valuable "living life" time immersed in a virtual world. Then one day you wake up and realize that you've lost years of your life and have zilch to show for it. I have limited my playtime to Saturday nights only (no more than…

I don't get refunds. I have my taxes finely tuned so that I neither owe nor get more than $50. Also, I work two jobs, have three children and make pretty decent money. I just don't want Uncle Sam to have that money all year long, I want it in MY pocket. I pay plenty of taxes, I just don't overpay them.

I have NROLFM and I've studied other routines as well. I have devised a fairly comprehensive set of workouts that will fit into my very tight schedule. 1 hour total each night. Monday - abs/chest, running for cardio Tuesday - zumba Wednesday - legs/glutes Thursday - spinning Friday - arms/back, running for cardio Saturday…

Here are my thoughts: Losing weight is NOT the same thing as losing fat. The scale can go down and we still look lumpy, saggy and jiggly. If you eat too little, you may lose muscle that you don't need to lose. Muscle burns more calories than fat does, so retaining as many as possible of your muscles will keep your…

BMR = calories burned doing absolutely nothing (ie: in a coma). TDEE = daily activity level = BMR + calories burned doing normal every day activities. When you go into settings and select your activity level (active, lightly active, sedentary, for example) you are already being given credit for the calories burned doing…

Way to go!! You are an inspiration :) I am battling heredity (my mother and grandfather died of diabetic complications) and fully intend to win. Stories like yours keep me going!

Here's what I would do - get a freezer pack to keep things cool - pack turkey, veggies like lettuce, tomato, onion, and a tortilla or foldit or pita pocket for lunch. I have a protein bar for breakfast during the week (Think Thin are all natural-no sugar). Include snacks such as a hard boiled egg, pretzels, apple, banana,…
