  • Welcome! Yes, feel free to join! Although it seems not many have been checking in. lol I usually do though.
  • Friday morning weigh in for me! Starting weight: 239 lbs (10/5) Goal weight: 190 lbs (10/21): 213 lbs (10/24): 205 lbs I think the last of my water weight has been dropping off this week, as my ankles aren't really swollen anymore and my ring is super close to fitting again!
  • Welcome ladies! Feel free to start your own threads/conversations/topics, etc...
  • Yay! Hopefully he'll arrive soon, mrsomeara! katey_my_lady - hang in there, you're almost done! Well, 2 weeks and 2 days postpartum and I'm down a total of 26 lbs from my delivery weight! I didn't expect that much to fall off that fast. It took longer with my son, if I remember correctly... but I'm now the lowest…
  • I would love to get back to 160 some day. I was 160 in highschool, and that was the best I probably ever looked! Right now, I'm 218 lbs (just had a baby 2 weeks ago). My goal is to get back to 185-190 lbs (which is where I maintain the best). I'd love to have someone else to chat with on this journey as well! I don't have…
  • Well, I'm 11 days post partum, and I'm down 21 lbs from my delivery weight! I didn't expect it to come off that fast, as it didn't with my son. So I'm now down to about 30 lbs from my goal weight. Here's hoping I can lost another good 10 lbs before it stalls!
  • You can manually set your calorie goals. So take the goal that it's set for right now, add the amount of extra calories to that number and then manually set the calorie number in the "goals" section. The other way I've seen it done is to add it as exercise. I think it's already in the system for 500 calories for…
  • Are you talking about adding them in as far as food, or adding them into your diary for tracking?
  • That sounds like me! I lost about 35 lbs after having my son, but with breastfeeding I think I ate 3x as much as I did when I was pregnant! I ended up gaining it all back, plus a few extra. Oops... :s I'm determined not to do that this time.
  • Thanks all! I weighed in this morning at 232 lbs, so down the weight of the baby basically. Not surprised, I remember it taking a couple weeks to start dropping off after my son. Looking forward to seeing how far down it goes before it stalls and I actually have to work at it... LOL

  • I had carpal tunnel with both my pregnancies. Apparently it's not uncommon! It sucks, though!
  • Well, Sunday morning I woke up and started having random contractions around 10 a.m. I figured they were Braxton Hicks, as they weren't following a consistent pattern. I went to church, and by the time I got home at 12:45 I knew they weren't just BH! I called my mom to come get my son so my husband and I could go to the…

  • Was in L&D yesterday, had a fever and ended up getting antibiotics for a UTI. No fun! I can't wait for pregnancy to be over! Well, pregnancy, and the several weeks of healing from delivery. I'm not looking forward to breastfeeding though... even though I enjoyed it some of the time with my first... I don't mind it…
  • Hey ladies! It's almost time for us, eh?! I'm already dilated to a 3, apparently. I don't mind being checked, I know that being dilated doesn't necessarily mean that I'm about to go into labor. I was the same with my son, although he was born at 37+5 so I'm trying not to get my hopes up that this one comes before her due…

  • Well, I lost 18 lbs in 1st Tri due to both morning sickness, and switching my horrible eating to a healthy eating plan. I certainly didn't diet on purpose or anything! And I didn't track my calories after awhile, because I was getting too stressed about trying to keep them low. I basically just ate when I was hungry, and…

  • I quit my FT job to stay at home with my son when he was born. I cut our income by just a little over 50%, which hurt... but the alternative was paying for childcare (also not cheap!) and missing out on raising my little one. I decided I wasn't going to work just to mostly pay for daycare. I don't know what others have…
  • First Trimester is all about survival. :flowerforyou: Eat what you can, and try to stay hydrated. You don't need any "extra" calories for pregnancy during First Tri anyway. I actually lost weight during First Tri, and my OB said it was fine and normal. Don't worry, once you get past all the morning sickness/food aversions…
  • I did well with nursing/losing weight for the first 3 months. But once my son started cutting back a little on feeds, I had a hard time. In fact, by the time he turned one, I had not only NOT lost weight - I had gained over 30 lbs back! I guess I'm one of those who doesn't need the extra 500 calories while nursing! lol…

  • Ugh, the heartburn! I take tums before I get in bed, but I've noticed that the heartburn is worse if I lay on my left side vs my right side for some reason. And sleep? Yeah. I don't sleep well until probably after 4 or 5 a.m. as well. Then when I'm sleeping really good, it's time to get up! Go figure.

  • I find that I gain faster if I eat too many carbs/sugar vs protein, etc... Bagels, white breads, and such are my enemy and I gain quickly with them. Everyone is different, but maybe try eating more protein and green veggies and limit carbs and sugar? Also keep in mind that during the last 10 weeks, the baby itself is…
