It *can* be done! I've lost 180 +/- 5 pounds in the last 7 years. That's *not* a typo. Like the above poster, I started for medical reasons, but kept going after I met that goal. It has *definitely* made life better. I'm sure I would be in a wheelchair by now if I hadn't started. Great job on your progress so far and…

as for where to get them, our Wegmans grocery store has them in the baking aisle. Amazon.com has them, too.

chia seeds are good for fiber content.

I love OB!!!

I've been keto for 2 years now, I am going full steam ahead. Have been about 20 mos since my last MS relapse, feel great! Not gonna lie, I have a high carb day about 1x/2 mos... usually for holidays. Warning... by the end of the day and the next I feel like s**t. But, I love it.

I LOVE fathead pizza. I can actually have a foldable crust! No, it's not the "same", but a decent approximation of the "real thing". --Oh, and I do a Margharita Pizza. mmmmm..........

I 2nd the tahini paste suggestion. Very good.

I've noticed this, too. Hope it gets better.

I completely agree with JPW1990. Brussels sprouts cut 1/2 are great done that way. Asparagus, too! Another veggie I have fallen in love with is collard greens.

I feel better eating this way. My blood sugars are stable. I'm a reactive hypoglycemic and if I go on a carb binge I will "crash" 1 1/2 hours after eating. I've fainted from low blood sugar. I've seen it as low as 28 once. With this WOE, I feel good. My sugars stay in the low 70's.

Oh, YEAH!!! I used to be a HUGE bread/sugar addict. Now I don't even crave it any longer. Honestly, the only thing I "crave" is fruit. Not candy, not cake/cookies/chocolate-- fruit. I don't indulge, but I must say it tickles me!

My favorite were always the Unjury shakes. Medical supply companies have them or www.Unjury.com

Try replacing 1/2 your sugar with Stevia (I love Better Stevia from amazon.com) and gradually! replace the rest over a few weeks time. Weaning off the sugar habit may work better than a cold-turkey approach. Good luck!

I had it done 20 years ago, when it was an open procedure. Word of advice. Just know it is a "tool". That's all. You can gain it all back... faster than you think. I was never gonna be "one of them". Well, I was. I gained all but 15 pounds back. However, you CAN lose the weight again. I'm now lighter than I've EVER been in…

Hi! I may not have back problems, but I have a severe pain problem (Complex Regional Pain due to MS) and I can relate how exercise is difficult if not impossible. Luckily for us, some of the latest medical research says that exercise, though important for well-being. takes a back seat to food for the purpose of weight…

The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Welcome to one of the hardest but most rewarding journeys of your life. There will be struggles, missteps, and times you want to throw in the towel. But when that happens, and it will, step back and look how far you've come. Then keep going. Congratulations.

I hit a plateau at the beginning of June that lasted almost until September. What helped me break it was a serious look at my food diary (and what *wasn't* there). I was a victim of "carb creep". Just a taste here and a taste there really do add up. I need to do more looking, I think... (d*mn spray whipped cream!) This…

As a fellow conspiracy theorist *waves my tinfoil hat* I approve this message.

Hi, fellow weight loss/MS'ers! Diagnosed almost 12 years ago, on Gilenya now. Feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:

Hi, I'm Von, and I'm a 43 yr. old nerd. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who (reboot and am now watching the old ones from the 60's on up), anime, RPGs, especially tabletop. Pen and paper D&D rules! We play version 3.5 at home, but my DH and I have been playing since 1st edition in the '70's and early '80's.

Weight loss and I are constant companions. Had weight loss surgery in 1995 and gained almost everything back. Started again using my "tool" October 25, 2009 and it's been slowly coming off ever since. Yes, I've hit a few snags along the way, but the huge difference is that this is *not* a diet. It's a WOL. And you *don't*…

WTG! That's fantastic.

From what I've seen, you are *both* pretty awesome people! Steve, my friend, you did great. I'm really proud of you!

I've gone from a size 11 to an 81/2-9M. Crazy, huh?
