Get up a little early and go running(or wogging). Start with 1 mile on work days. Then do longer on your days off. Even if you only have 15 minutes extra it's a start, also you don't have to do your excercise all at once, if you can find another 15 minutes during the day, or split it up 10/10/10. Just start something.…

While I do agree about the affects of alcohol, the mixers are still calories that you should avoid.

realistic weight loss is 1-2lbs/week, so between 5-10lbs. But if you add in alot of excercise you will also lose inches and firm up making you look like you weigh less. Better start now! :flowerforyou:

i've finished 3rd in my age group a couple times but then i had a hip injury and now i have a shoulder injury, just expecting to finish the first one of the season on June 27.

my husband does them too, it's nice to do them together but it does get expensive. Over the last 6 years we have probably done around 8-10 sprints and 1 olympic(Chicago). They are addicting.

Y-M-C-A! They do offer more, most classes are free to members and they have pools usually. We are lucky enough to have a brand new Y with state of the art equipment and pools, and an indoor running track which is awesome. I buy dark chocolate and then have 1-2 squares after dinner. I am sure others will have some great suggestions too. We shouldn't deprive ourselves totally but try to fit it in to our menu. :flowerforyou:

Not sure where you swim at but you will find that the other swimmers are probably also training for a triathlon. If you can find one close to you to go watch, it will add to your motivation, they are fun to watch but it will make you want to tri one! :smile:

I know my scale weighs 2-3 lbs light, i could adjust it but I like seeing it that way even though i know it. :happy: Kinda like setting your clock a few minutes faster so you won't be late, my husband hates when i do this. :ohwell:

Indulge but do not over-indulge, or you will just feel miserable the next day. enjoy your birthday. Try to drink lower calorie drinks, ie. vanilla vodka/diet coke, or if you drink beer try mgd-64 or michelob ultra. Happy Birthday! :flowerforyou: :drinker: :happy:

have you asked them if there is a sugarfree option for the med? Also, try adding other small excercise things throughout your day, ie(parking farthes out from the store, running up stairs instead of taking elevators, leg lifts while watching tv, etc...) Wish I could suggest something magical for you, sucks when it is out…

not sure if you are limited on your excercise but if you can step it up. Also, you will have to watch those calories,doesn't seem fair since the med part is out of your control :ohwell: Hang in there, how long will you need to be on this med?
