  • I would agree with Neil. i did a similar schedule to the c25 a few years ago. the hardest bit is getting going, once you do however there is no stopping you. And the with schedule you make progress really quickly. Once you think youve cracked it get some proper shoes though - you will need them Tom

  • Half Marathon is good - I did the Great North Run (UK) a couple of years ago - amazing! I wouldn't worry about the carb loading until perhaps the day before the race. If you are running upto 10/12 miles in training towards the end - take some energy gels with you - they tend to get you round okay - they taste pretty awful…
  • Hey, Good luck. Its essentially when you stock up on carbs the day before big race. It stops you hitting 'the wall' as it stores energy that can be released quickly when doing a lot of exercise. I wouldnt do it all the time as it just means eating loads of carbs. so for example before a marathon or half marathon they often…

  • Agree with everyone here. Go to a specialist store and they will sort you out. Everyone is different. I used mizuno - they were great never had a blister with them. I have asics now and I just don't get on with them, whereas I know loads of people who swear by them.

  • I can beat that, yesterday - A McDonalds Big Tasty, large fries and large coke - 1500 calories over for the day! just burnt 900 cals in the gym to make up for it.
