  • I went to my first indoor cycling class on Sunday (just a couple days ago) after cycling outside for a few months. I loved the class-- and I totally agree with a lot of what's been said. The instructor will make or break the class and it is a matter of preference. Two observations: 1) I went to the class 15 minutes early…
  • Hi! I do exactly the same. Just finished 10 cord! I log it under Splitting Firewood (approx 432 cal/hour for a 150lb person). Keep it up!
  • Move forward not backward. Just a little strength will get you past thinking about him and this. Get yourself busy and go meet new people. You'll forget soon enough. Move on!
  • I drink a ton too! My mother jokes about diabetes, but I have been tested and am healthy. I just enjoy drinking it. Quenches my thirst. The only fear is drinking too much as it can wash all of the electrolytes out of your body. Be sure not to over drink (1 gallon + depending on your body) without eating something salty.
  • I definitely have this issue. Carrots, cucumbers, apples. Its awful. I have somewhat solved the issue by peeling things with skin (just too much fiber for my stomach to handle) and by eating this things in moderation. I have tried supplements, a GI doctor, prescription medication -- everything. PAINFUL still. I just know…
  • It is super motivating to hear from others doing the 30DS that it gets easier. The first time I attempted it I stopped after 9 minutes (and I'm 5'6'', 140lbs)... Now, I am on day 4 of level one and it IS GETTING EASIER!! My adjusted pushups are increasing in number and the squats aren't actually KILLING me, though I was…
  • baked cod fillet with lemon and lots of fresh boiled beets (i <3 them..they taste like candy to me)
  • I ususally weigh in every morning. I need it as a reminder to keep up my exercise (which I just started) and healthy eating. I know I'm not alone in this though: When I wake up, look in the mirror etc. I can pretty accurately guess my weight, within a .5lb. Anyone else? Based on how you look/feel?
  • I am 22 and 135 and can't do a real pushup, BUT I did download the 30-DS and if you are telling me it can change that, I'm doing it. Anyone have approx calorie burn with one session of L1 of the video??
  • I think that it's reasonable to save those calories for indulging, however saving 3 days worth of 300 calories and then drinking 900 calories worth of beer on Saturday night, probably won't show you the best results. Having a light beer (Mich. Ultra makes pomegranate and citrus flavored) or even having one darker beer…
  • There is something to be said for ongoing research that is evaluating the maintenance of a constant level of blood sugar versus the 3 meal spiking that occurs when your blood sugar rises and the plummets and then rises and etc.
  • I keep my food diary for me. Period. I am able to share, but simply choose not to (some people value privacy).
  • Do not feel bad!!! I think food guilt is a normal yet difficult thing to deal with.. Check out this article: http://www.health.com/health/article/0,,20436972,00.html
  • How do you know when to bump up to the next level? Do you use the 10-day of level one, 10-day of level two, etc., or are you doing it based on rigor?
  • I could barely do the modified pushups!!!
  • Must haves: Cucumbers Carrots Onions White Mushrooms Fresh Garlic Kale Hummus Quinoa Buckwheat Whole Wheat Pasta Crushed Tomatoes (To make your own sauce.) Kidney Beans Black Beans I try to make sure my food is simple. I don't buy any branded diet food. Also, a trick I use: If the list of ingredients is longer than 6…
