Welcome! It is safe here :)

You can add me if you'd like. I have been on em2wl since March 20. I am your age, too. :)

I hit my tdee with the calories. :) Try adding more dairy into your day, your bones will thank you and you get some protein added in, too. (I didn't look at your diary. I just know that I wasn't having dairy before and now I am because I look for protein sources.)

Hang in there! I am 3 months in and though the scale hasn't changed for me (even though I'm in reset mode), but I have firmed up and lost inches. It'll happen. I promise.
-
OK, You got it! How'd you do yesterday?

One week into reset. Just typical scale fluctuations. Past few days have been BUSY so by the end of the day I still have about 1/2 my calories left to eat...nom, nom, nom. I have several busy days yet this week so I am going to purpose to load up earlier in the day.

From your stats I went to this calculator: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ (which is recommended here) TDEE: 2103 - moderately active BMR: 1357 1200 calories is not enough for your body to function properly and it is hanging on to every little bit you give it because it is trying to survive. I highly…

Given the you have a long history of restricted calories and lots of exercise, I would suggest going right to tdee. I upped to cut 11 weeks ago and went to tdee this week. For me, I'd rather get the initial uncomfortableness over with once, rather that have that feeling and each step up in calories. Anyway, it took a long…

I mix a can of tuna with 1 Tbsp olive oil mayo and 1 tsp sweet relish (or chopped sweet pickle) and eat on ritz crackers. It's actually what I'd eat for a lunch, and not a snack. But it would certainly work for a snack, too. :)

I'm open to more em2wl friends, as well.

I'm in. I was going to do a diet break starting next week but with all of those starting now and the support I know that will be available, I am going to start today. I am officially at week 11 of em2wl as of today. I have lost inches but not any pounds. However, in the 11 weeks of this journey, I have begun to know my…

Here is the page: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator-calibration/ Scroll down until you find the link for the logging spreadsheet.

Don't feel bad....I'm 9 weeks in and am in the same boat. I haven't gained or lost really anything. My waist is smaller but my legs are bigger. ugh! I had been yo-yoing on and off for years. When i started this I was "off" the diet bandwagon for a while, with the exception of a few initial weeks on mfp at 1200. I foolishly…

I started em2wl on 3/20/12 and plan to go to maintenance on 6/5/12 for two weeks. I had started a one month daily tracking with using a spreadsheet from the scooby site and will be done with that on 6/5/12. I am tending to think that since I haven't really lost any weight since I started that maybe I am underestimating my…

Carry on, Sister. :) Look at my diary on April 28. ;) I had several days like those during the month of April and May (lots of birthdays, a wedding, etc.). Just get back to your cut today and the world will keep revolving.
-
Feel free to add me, as well. I have been doing this since 3/20/12

You're close...eat the 2363 every day and do not eat back any exercise calories UNLESS it brings you to a net below your bmr. Welcome to the group!

Feel free to add me. :)

Umm...my bum is higher...(sheepish grin).

In retrospect, I did both...ate more and cut cardio. For the two weeks prior to my post about being tired, I was eating more than I really wanted to, but I was soooo hungry. It was an average of 200 cals a day more that I had really planned. Then I posted about being tired and was encouraged to take time off. When I took…

Yes, your tdee includes your exercise calories. However, we must bear in mind that the cut is just that, a cut (less that tdee). If you net below your bmr then it is too big of a cut (at least on the high burn days). If you are consistently netting below your bmr, then likely you have under-estimated your activity level.

I think I must have been experiencing #5 a couple of weeks ago. I posted about it here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/590016-tired-and-hungry During the break that I took because of the fatigue, I kept at my calories (even though it freaked me out a bit). Last week was my first week back and I spent about 24…

I know what you mean on the "frosting" analogy.

Just to report back in...I did take the break that was suggested. It was a good idea. I feel much better now. It has been a crazy busy week for me and I have had the needed energy to get through it. I don't think I would have been able to do this week if I hadn't done the break. I guess it just goes to show...we need to…

Thanks everyone!

Here is a recent article on overtraining: http://www.shapefit.com/overtraining-exercising-too-much.html I have been advised to lift heavy three days and HIIT two days. I was logging 6 hours a week of exercise (3 cardio and 3 strength) There is a video listed in the stickies about too much cardio. I highly recommend taking…

I have seen the moderators recommend this site for calculations: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ I would say you are more of a moderate activity level. HTH
