  • About the fee...I don't have a bmf, but have looked into buying one and have see yearly subscriptions on there for a reduced rate. HTH
  • Jillian Michael's whey protein, vanilla or chocolate. $10ish and lasts two weeks.
  • Awesome info! I have been doing the Supreme 90 program and was looking at CLX for my next project. I especially appreciate the tidbit about working the hips. The only weight I need to lose is south of the border. ;) I have skinny arms and amazon legs. lol
  • I had that, too. :/ I didn't really bloat during reset. Weird, huh? Guess we're mutants together.
  • I am 43 and my mom is going to be 65 soon. Last Christmas she fell and broke her wrist and ankle. She looked so feeble coming home from the hospital and having to be carried in by the men. She is aging right before my eyes and is so feeble for her age. It was enough to kick my butt back in gear. I want to be strong.
  • Welcome! We are here to help! How long have you been eating more? Are you doing a reset? What are your stats? We can help you assess better with that info. 7# is 3500x7 calories is surplus of your tdee...likely a lot of water weight is going on here. Because I suspect you have not eaten 24,500 EXTRA calories. :)
  • While I agree that the sudden gain is likely sodium. Overall, I think you need to eat more consistently. Some days you were really short on cals...your bod is gonna want to hang on to all it can to survive. I would recommend going to http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and plugging in your stats and look at the…
  • I just wanted to pop in and say "welcome to the group"! I realize how scary this can be. I started here in March, just three weeks from my son's wedding. (yikes). The biggest hurdle is the mental struggle, but as you read the stickies and let it all sink in, it will start to make sense and really resonate, I am sure.…
  • Welcome! Once you have read the stickies, feel free to ask questions. You will find this group very helpful and friendly.
  • Hi Kels, I would recommend the reset for you. Shoot for 6-8 weeks then do a cut. By doing a reset you get your body accustomed to the most is can handle, then allow it time to trust that you won't deprive it again and then start a small deficit (15%). So basically, rev up you metabolism engine and get it good and efficient…
  • Do you have seasonal allergies at all? I never had allergies before, but this year it has bothered me some and the symptoms were a headache so i didn't figure it out for a while. Even if you haven't had allergies before, they can develop. FWIW

  • How long have you been eating more? I experienced extreme fatigue at about 6-7 weeks. Then someone posted this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/604089-patterns-emerging-for-hunger-satiety-energy-and-fatigue?hl=patterns+emerging&page=1#posts-8682673 . That described me perfectly. Maybe it does you, too? I…
  • Thanks. I am hoping that as I get more fit, it won't be an issue as much. But I am also aware that things do wear out.
  • LOL! Mike, you hit "post" before I did.
  • :flowerforyou: Take a deep breath. It's gonna be OK. Now, for a true 8 pound gain you would have had to have eaten and EXTRA 28,000 calories. Which is not what you did, right? It is likely water weight gain, which is totally normal and will go down. You may even experience a day where you are tinkling for what…
  • I may have had a perfect meal here or there, but since I don't want to eat the same thing every meal/day I try not to sweat it too much. I focus on protein and eating healthy as I can within my lifestyle and let the rest fall where it may. Overall, it's a much better balance than I had before so, for me, this way is…
  • Feel free to add me. :)
  • I've been making these. Thanks for posting. They are GOOD and very FILLING!

  • Welcome! and best wishes! Be sure to read the sticky on what to expect. :) Enjoy the ride.
  • FWIW...I wouldn't count bloat as an actual gain. Stay the course and evaluate when you do weigh in July. HTH
  • Feel free to add me. :)
  • Kate, Yes, your body will adjust to the higher levels of protein in a week or so. :) Yes, your "symptoms" are common. ;) Drink lots of water. HTH
  • You can take a look at my diary, too. We all have bad days where our macros are off...that's life. Last week I was redoing my kitchen and ate horribly. But there wasn't much I could do about it. This week life is more normal and I can focus a bit more. Try to take off days in stride. Life goes on. :) I like cereal, too. I…
  • Stayed the same...gonna give it two more weeks and evaluate.
  • I was doing my cut for 10 weeks. During the first 6 I lost inches, then nothing. I went to tdee two weeks ago because I was thinking as you are now...my body thinks this cut is my new norm. I wasn't willing to cut anymore, so I went up. HTH.
  • Feel free to add me. :) :flowerforyou:

  • In times like these, it helps to do the math...have you eaten an extra 35,000 calories? I think not. :) I'm up too because of a super busy week and poor eating choices in the busyness. Gonna get back on track today, though. Drink lots of water for the next few days and the water weight will go down. :flowerforyou:
  • Feel free to add me; I eat lots.
  • Good job on the protein. Keep going. :) I mix my protein powder with 1/2% milk...give me another 8 grams of protein and makes it taste way better than water.
