I've been using a Winsor Pilates mat for yoga. It seems a little thicker than the others. It doesn't seem too slippery and I even use it for hot yoga. I bought it a few years ago, but I think it was a lot less expensive than a yoga mat.

Sizing is crazy. Seems to vary from brand to brand based on my experience today. And some of the sales people unfortunately aren't much help either. Is it still called "Misses" sizes? I went to Macy's today and asked for Misses' dresses and the sales person had no clue what I was talking about.

There are always a few men in the yoga classes that I have gone to. Some of the teachers are men as well. Yoga is awesome and I think you should go for it. Arrive a little early and let the teacher know before class that it is your first time in that class. have fun!

A dear friend put their arms around me and held me and I realized that I did not want extra weight coming between me and getting physically close to people. I began my weight loss journey the very next day.

I am a Misses 14 now and those are getting a little big. My goal is the single digits which I haven't seen in 2 decades but believe me I plan on getting there are staying there.

I sit at a desk all day as well. I drink a lot of water. Warm drinks like tea or coffee tend to keep me feeling full too.
