I want to be able to share a story just like that one. With over 100lbs to loose, I have set my first target at 50lbs...because that would be amazing in its own right. Congratulations, you are an inspiration and great motivator.....good luck with the next leg x

me too - I have 100lbs to loose, but from Oz so will probably be talking in kg....but its all a loss right -
-
Great tips, thanks
-
I agree with you all, will be a learning curvebwhich ever way I go.

Thanks so much. Those foods like pasta, breads and processed foods have been where I have made the biggest changes. When I slip I notice the difference..
-
I agree, estimating is a risk - will monitor and see if I can manage my deficit... Cheers!

yes I log - today is the day ! Logging has helped me realised that I need to go out and move today - and it might not seem so bad afterall. I hate it when I forget to log - or run out of time for a day or two.
-
My top 3 are; - don't starve yourself - consume your full calories - move more ...lets hope this works !
-
That is true inspiration . . . My next glass of wine will tahe me over my calories today, perhaps not worth it ?

Hi, I have returned having been away since October 2010..... only 4.5kg heavier than when I left (sorry, am from Oz, so only speak in metric ).... but I have 45kg (100lbs) to loose... Would love to hear from you and we can motivate each other..

I too want to join in, 20lbs by Christmas ! Especially given here in Oz Christmas falls right at the start of summer.... oh my, is 20lbs enough ;)
-
Eating healthy is the key for me too.....one more night to go.

I here you and all the others. I guess the binge is only part of the battle, its the desire to purge afterwards that I want to be rid off too.

Thanks for those comments, it really does help. For me, saying it out loud was an achievment in itself....and I am forever greatful for this site to give me that. I will be strong this weekend. At the moment I know it is all or nothing and I choose nothing for now. Cheers

It has been wonderful hearing all these stories, this kind of info is just like the best kind of motivation for me and everyone seems to have found what works for them and the best bit - ITS ALL DIFFERENT :)

Thank you so much everyone - all your advice helps put me at ease. I really appreciate your knowledge and this community feel......will be sending a friend request your way :)

I know that the scale doesn't always tell the true story. I had lost 20 cm off my body (measured by my PT) in 3 weeks, however I gained 1kg. Now that can be put down to a combination of time of month and muscle gain - but oh boy even though my head knows this, my heart STILL sunk alittle. I have a love hate relationship…

Thanks for the links. I looked today and there is no chick'n options available , but I will keep asking!

Yum, that looks sooo good! Thanks

I got my Quorn from Woolies in South Australia. I ended up having to ask if they stocked it as I just couldn't find it myself. And I have to apologies, as I don't know if wheat is the main ingredient. I know 'protein' is its main one. I discovered Quorn when I was living in the UK in 2002. Upon my return home I googled it…

Thanks for that, I will have to spend the time to get it all loaded, sounds like it eventually becomes a simple task. Cheers
-
simply amazing!!

As soon as I find out how to add friends, I can add you......I need all the support I can, started today on a very bad calorie day to boot!

I too just joined up. Naturally today, I am blowing my points, but I knew I would be. Being a sloth today and giving myself permission. Good luck with your journey, 30 is such a special and wonderful time....boy how it flies by after that - sorry! I was 32 yesterday and now my next birthday is my 37th - omg! thankfully,…
