I don't think there is much benefit to only staying at maintenance for 2 weeks, unless it is just to eat more around the holidays. I would think a good "metabolism reset" would take longer. However, you're not likely to do any damage either.

Of all the things you say you are doing, counting calories is not one of them. If you want to lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn. The only way to guarantee that you are doing this is to accurate track what you eat and reduce that until you begin losing.

We spend ~$40 on each (of two) nephew of my DH's. We basically just call up the SIL and ask her what the boys want that she isn't planning on buying herself. My sister is preggers with her first, and I plan on switching from buying my sister gifts to buying my niece gifts.

A 45# bar isn't that much more than 2x15# dumbbells..... The first day I ever tried a squat, I did the bar, and it was too easy.

Squats, deadlifts, straight leg deadlifts, glute bridges, lunges etc. with weights are all good butt workouts. The real question is, what do you mean by tone? Do you want to lose fat on your butt? Do the above with a calorie deficit. To you want to build a bigger, shapelier rear? Do the above with a calorie surplus.

Those look like maybe 15#, not really a heavy weight for most women. Especially for legs. Together, they probably weigh as much as a 4 year old child.

That's my point. The difference are subtle but they are what make the VS pictures into the "ideal" bodies that people think they want. The models have tiny legs and stomachs but VS STILL SHRINKS THEM!

Look closer, there are many changes that the author of the blog missed. Almost all of the shopped images have also had the legs slenderized and the waists raised and narrowed. A few have clearly had their arms shrunk (which seriously, the as-is arms are all twigs so that seems a little redundant).
