Can anyone find a single picture of this Tracy Anderson's stomach/body that has been photoshopped to the point she looks plastic?

*Gives you the prize*. I have the deluxe sports bundle for my 42" now, and a Wii and Xbox.

$15/hour is not a fair wage for the work.

Oh you poor thing. Only an hour on the Nintendo? We didn't own video games (ever) or get basic cable on our single 20 inch tv until I was about 14. Do I get a prize? On a more related note, I think celebrating the Spirit of Santa Claus (magic, giving, happiness) is more important than convincing your children he is real.…

Yeah. I like the idea of cheap with lots of locations. But I grunt when I lift and would probably lose it if someone lunk alarmed me.

Yay for people signing up gyms that AREN'T mine because the less people competing for the squat rack, the better. Is that a choice?

My DH hasn't gotten me anything awful. Worst hypothetically would be nothing, or something that he was really buying for himself. Worst gifts I've been given are monogrammed everything (I hyphenated my name so it wasn't even MY initial), off brand tupperware, and used cooking magazines (I don't do the cooking in my…

Your calorie intake has been fine (if you have been accurately tracking, this is best done with a food scale!). You don't need to be any lower than you are in terms of calories. However, I would suggest you try to swap out some of the carb heavy and processed foods in your diet for more high protein meals/snacks. Not…

No, it doesn't "happen". It is worked for by YEARS of lifting, eating a ton of food, and occasionally (in most cases of visually unappealing bulkiness on a woman) steroid use. It will not "happen" to anyone pursuing a lifting hobby who does not actively pursue muscle gains for years.

Why put the weights down? Why not do both?

I'm in year 2 of lifting and I don't love it while I'm doing it. It's hard work, tiring, it hurts (not like bad-hurt but I-can't-barely-get-this-last-rep-in hurt), and I look like a crazy woman doing it. It's a chore to get to the gym, and a chore to get through the workout. I do love how I look and feel every other waking…

Probably true. Sadly, there are plenty of lazy women out there who lap this crap up.

To lose weight? Measuring my food and hitting a weekly calorie goal. To get the body I wanted all along? Lifting heavy.
-
I've had the copper for ~9 months, no weight gain.

Step 1: Lose fat (lift, calorie deficit, get rid of the belly) Step 2: Build muscle. (lift, calorie surplus, build a butt) Can't do both at the same time.

Your knees touch before your thighs? Huh, that would feel weird lol. But in all seriousness, I get what you are saying. I am the same way. I was never "obese", I was actually only ~5 pounds into the "overweight" category at my highest. Every once in a while, I will try to put on something I haven't managed to get rid of…

Eh, if he won't believe years of research and science by experts nothing we can say should change his mind. Let your own results do the talking.

You should put her in counseling, not seek for an answer on an internet forum.

Someone who is relatively new to lifting (as in, less than 1-2 years) will probably get the most benefits from full body. Reasons to switch to split would if results are plateauing or you need more recovery time after training (ex. your legs still hurt so bad 2 days later that you can't give full body your all again).

If you mean loose skin, well that's an individual thing which will depend on age and how much weight was lost. If you mean fat, it's absolutely not true. It may be slow to come off but if you diet and exercise right and for long enough it will go eventually.

I have 8 publications in research journals. But, I suspect that wasn't what you are going for ;-)

I think it's next to impossible to BUILD muscle without progressively lifting heavier weights. However, I believe with the right diet (i.e. not too big of a deficit and adequate protein) and resistance exercises that can be done at home (body weight and the like) you can keep a higher percent of the muscle that you already…

1 hour a day, 3 days per week

Jealous that you are able to lose the weight and jealous of attention that you are getting are separate things. Neither my husband nor I are jealous about outside attention. We both find it flattering and trust each other to not stray so it's a complete non-issue. Now I think when we were first starting out, I dropped…

And yet you still planning on following her diet advice? I advise you to find a better doctor.

The funny thing is that you are trying to train like an advanced body builder by doing a body part split even though you apparently don't think they look like women. If you want functional strength and are new to lifting, beginner programs like Stronglifts, Starting Strength, and New Rules of Lifting for Women are a better…

You are not a special snowflake. Neither are they. What makes you think that not everyone can put forth the effort that you do?

It would be reasonable to guess that going off the pill will effect you opposite of how going on did. If you gained a few pounds, you might drop a few. I never had any noticeable weight gain from hormonal BC and didn't notice any differences going off.

With a history of ED, I would focus more on small changes and less on huge life overhauls that might trigger obsessive behavior. Try taking the stairs instead of an elevator, parking in the back of a lot, walking to the next bus stop instead of the closest one, subbing a high calorie/carb heavy snack for a healthy/high…

And the worst are yet to come (well, maybe not worse than Khal, that sucked big time). ' The British "Squintern" in Bones a few seasons ago. That took me by surprise. And yeah, any time they kill a pet.
