I've been giving mine away - on freecycle or on my fatdykes mailing list. It makes me feel so much better to give them away. :)

I totally agree with this person, at least this part! Under 1200 calories to me =s a doctor's plan. Please, please contact a doctor as your "diet" will have serious health consequences. :( All the best.

I say. . . super sexy! I think that strong people in general are sexy! While I'm a happy lesbian, I find all bodies with muscles very appealing (especially if the people also have kind eyes and a sweet smile).

I'm here. I'm queer. Feel free to friend me!!!

So many congratulations to you! Yay!! Go you! What will you be graduating from? Best.

Congrats on your success! I am curious about the plastic wrap. I fear that that is not healthy but I really don't know! I wish you all the best. A

<I agree with this person whose name doesn't appear when I quote them - darn it!! As my nutritionist says, it most important to get back on your plan tomorrow. Do not let this derail you!! I would encourage you to go to a nutritionist to learn if your goals (eating, losing, calories, exercise, etc.) are reasonable. She…

Awww, thanks y'all! You are right, there is so much great energy out there! It's fantastic!! Congrats on signing up for another race! I love 5ks because it's just enough to push me farther than I thought possible and enough to have me actually finish the darn thing. I would love to do a half marathon one of these days, but…

Shoot. Just realized that you are not in the US. Sorry to be so ethnocentric. :( I know that as I've lost weight, I have felt tremendously more energized (too). I've gotten my sweetie to go to the gym with me, which helps to keep me motivated too. It felt daunting at first, to get in all the exercise, but it has been worth…

Hi, I don't know enough about you to answer this question fully, nor am I a doctor. I do know that my doc told me that the US govt recommends 45min of cardio 4 times a week and 2+ times a week of weight lifting a week to maintain one's weight. For me, someone who has to lose a lot of weight, she recommended 7 days a week…

Hi. I'm 5'10" and I started this current journey at 276. My highest weight was 291 about a year ago. According to the docs, my goal is 173 or 103 lbs lost. Like some other people said, I, too, would love to be under 200 pounds. I was in my teens the last time I was in one-derland. I'm super proud of myself for where I am…

Hi. I can't believe I'm still awake, but I guess I am. LOL. I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian. My doc (I'm on a medically supervised plan o'diet) has upped my protein to 80grams a day. It's depended on my numbers (height, muscle mass, lack of medical issues with kidneys, etc.). Happy protein eating to you!…

I totally agree, C. Thanks for your perspective!:flowerforyou:

I can't wait to read all of the tips! I love to swim. I mostly swim breaststroke though. Does anyone have a good sense of what that stroke burns? I know it depends on how fast I do it, but I'm just curious about a general range. Thanks for the scoop! Happy swimming y'all!

Bought the Striiv and just LOVE it! It's been only a day and I love it!!!! It rocks! It helps me move and rock and roll!

cool idea! I always wondered too about sitting on one of those exercise balls at work. . . would they help your core muscles and perhaps, your inner thighs depending on how you sat on the ball. What do you think? A http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/09/20/replacing-chairs-with-exercise-balls/…

Good point! I hear you, Ttopeka. I'm a grad student actually. . . and yet, I think I'd be willing to fork over the $ if it meant I'd be more interested in working out again. . . if it's gonna break on me in a week, though, I am totally not willing to give it a try / find the money. . .

I LOVE having short hair. I think that it is hard because unless you wear makeup and/or jewelry and, even if you do, people can mistake women for men, just on the basis of their hair. That said, I adore my short hair. I feel the best with short hair. It feels like me. And, I like me!

spray butter! yum!!

You are fantastic! I hope that you do learn to love yourself. After all, it sounds like you are a very special person. I totally encourage therapy. It could be because I am a therapist. It could also be because you are worth fighting for. I do wonder where your next weight goal is going to come from. I mean, lose more…

Glad you are feeling better! You look great, too! Congratulations!!!

I'm a fan of primal strips. They do have sodium but they also have about 10 grams of protein in each strip. I found 'em at whole foods and got m partner into eating them too. Then I brought them in for nutrition class and the nutritionist okayed them too. Here's the link: http://www.primalspiritfoods.com/ Best, Abi

I'm 34 and living in California. 8 years in San Francisco and currently, in Los Angeles, although I'm moving to San Diego in July. It's been a lot of moving these last few years with school. :) I would love to have some more female friends! Please add me. Best, Abi

Please, please add me. I'm on an HMR program where I can eat other foods too. My goal is 1200 calories a day. I would love to have some friends who are also doing a medically-supervised diet. Best, A

Feel free to add me. . . if I'm not too old that is. I'm a 34 years old female on a medically supervised diet where 1200 calories is my goal. Sometimes, I go higher than that, sometimes lower. It usually depends on how much exercise I've done that day. Anyways, I'd love to have more friends so please feel free to add me!…
