  • Thanks guys...just bummed out but maybe I will just take some benedryl and go sleep for a good long nap to force myself to get better faster instead...I just don't have time to be sick!
  • I know this is old..and most people do not do this anymore but I HAVE to .....eat 6 times a day. I have found that is the only way I do not allow myself to get too hungry to give in. The minute I am too hungry I will eat ANYTHING and Everything. A lot of this also has to do with my macros in balancing my blood sugar. I am…
  • yes I have decided to stick with their plan. I might just spice up the meals a bit with spices that is all. I will see what happens and If I cannot deal with the food part then I will ask for modifications. Also, they want me to take green tea extract but I am sensitive to caffeine but she told me that no green tea extract…
  • They want me to take Green tea extract, l-carnitine, and CLA, casein powder
  • thanks! Anybody have opinions about the supplements? anybody? I do not want to buy a bunch of supplements if they are costly and do not work.
  • Thanks everyone. I do think I will try to follow her eating program but spice it up a bit within good macros. I am going to add seasonings and flavor to it basically. I like the foods she chose but just not the bland part of it if that makes sense . I do need a bit more carbs as I kind of go nuts on a low carb diet. I like…
  • yes , I asked her if I could have a bit of lasagna (like a tiny piece) and my husband's birthday party this weekend as he makes AMAZING lasagna and everyone demands it when we have a party in our home. She told me NO and to bring my own food to the party (which is at my own house so it made me laugh). I was not even…
  • good points. I do have a lot of questions (I asked her all the same ones yesterday too but they are serious about this eating plan! ) but the price is GREAT for 8 weeks of intense training (only comes down to like 16 dollars a session) and her workouts are great. I cannot get this discount if I do not do it with the…
  • I put it in myfitness pal and calculated it several times and this is basically what it came out to. I did not believe it either but that Is what it is.
  • What does everyone think of the supplements: Green tea extract (I told her I was sensitive to caffeine and she said there was no caffeine in them???? ), L-carnitine, CLA, the Casein power, Are they good?
  • Interesting perspective, thank you for all the info
  • I have always had a hard time on low carb diets. I always feel exhausted so that is why I was worried. One time I did the zone diet years ago with the macros of 40-30-30 and I felt awesome and lost a ton of weight. I sort of want to aim for that but do not want to go off their program. I am mainly going there for…
  • it also seems like this personal trainer is VERY tough (she said NO cheating) so I am afraid she will kill me if I do not eat her method. Her workouts are incredible so I am excited about that part but the eating part , I am afraid I am going to get so bored I go on a binge.
  • no I do not need to eat like this the rest of my life, and would never do so. I think they just said they had a lot of success with people losing a lot of inches in 8 weeks (they did not say weight, they focus on inches).
  • I don't know why 6 meals, maybe to keep me from being hungry? I read somewhere that the 6 meal a day thing is sort of a thing of the past (think I read that in Jillian Michaels book as she said it caused people's blood sugar to go nuts and never gives the digestion system a rest). and that 4 meals were better. It looks…
  • I don't know...think it could be like a sugar detox but I am afraid I may go nuts and just binge or something because I will feel like it is so boring and tasteless. I have to keep a journal and show it to them each week . I do not understand why if I just followed the same calorie level (1800 calories) and just ate a bit…
  • I would love to join!
  • thank you for this very good suggestion. well, since I posted this question, I went online and joined just for one month to see if anything had changed. Now they have something called "simple start" or something like that. It is all just too confusing to me. I have naturally gravitated real non processed food for the past…
  • I did not realize I started such a big debate, haha! Who is Mr. Taubes anyway, never heard of him?
  • This is exactly why I do not think this way of eating works. My fitness trainer had me doing this TDEE-15% and all I did was gain weight. And btw, it is not like I was ever restricting myself too much in the past either. I was not some 1200 calorie a day dieter. I think it works for some because they probably exercise and…
  • so I just changed the time and it did not make much more of a difference in my calories and it actually made todays calories more....weird. I am stumped by this.
  • I just went to check and it is logging my workout times at two hours later but the time zones on fitbit settings and MFP settings are set exactly the same. This must be a gliche. I guess I need to enter my workouts in to fitbit instead then?
  • thanks for all your answers. Maybe I should just tough it out but I really dread the workout sessions. Thanks for all your advice.
  • I agree that diet is so much more important. I do think working out helps though. Thank you for your advice.
  • I told her that I needed it to be less intense or not focused so much on plank type moves because last week my neck was so hurt. She said she wanted me to come that day anyway (I canceled because of my neck pain) so she could stretch my neck out and stuff. I did not want to drive that far to have just some stretches done.…
  • YES! She also forces nutritional advice on me too. that has not gone well (telling me to eat more, it has me gaining weight now). She tells me to eat dried fruit and protein after workouts but I have always been taught that dried fruit.is too much sugar. She tells me not to drink coconut water as she says that is too high…
  • exactly....our naturopathic doctor told us coconut oil is extremely liver cleansing and SO good for us AND olive oil AND grass fed butter. My nutritionist acts like butter and coconut oil are evil. So weird.
  • how big are your servings (for everyone who posted on this thread). My 5 servings are a cup each. What is a typical "serving"
  • yea I agree. I mean coconut water and oil is like one of the healthiest things in the world...isn't it? coconut water is full of electrolytes and much better than sports drinks and coconut oil helps thyroid function and a whole other host of things. Sure, it is saturated fat but it is different, all the new studies show…
  • You guys are making me laugh with the tomato thing....haha! Okay so 8-10 is too much. I think I would be FAR to gassy. How on earth would somebody think coconut water has too much sugar? it tastes salty.....like I am drinking sweat. she told me to use water in my breakfast shakes (I have a protein powder breakfast shake)…
