Whisky rocks, with a splash of water. I've come to find I really love a good islay scotch, too. It's around 69 cals an ounce. Takes me a while to sip too, so I enjoy it longer. Otherwise, mixed drinks are vodka soda with lime or vodka and sprite zero. Or beer. Any kind. I can't limit myself to low calorie beer.... I love…

This! I had a bit of a sag before I got pregnant, and I was overweight even then. I gained 80 lbs during pregnancy, carried low, and most of the weight was in my belly and thighs (my tummy was huuuuge - doc was convinced of a 10lb baby in there). Now, it hangs much like this. I hate it, but I'm working on it. Thanks for…

@kristen8000 It does set up! You just have to use twice as much pudding mix. I also learned this the hard way. :grimace:

It's usually a piece of fruit, like a large banana or apple, sometimes with PBfit, and coffee with a smidge of cream and truvia. On workout days I generally tack on a hardboiled egg, or save a small piece of fruit for a pre-workout meal around 11 and eat some yogurt with a little granola instead. Weekends are lazy, as I…

I have now!

I tried to sub PBfit into an already-modified brownie recipe. The original recipe called for nut butter and pureed pumpkin/sweet potato, very little flour and sugar, and no oil or eggs. I believe the binding was to come from the nut butter. It was a goopy mess. Definitely not a brownie, but it made for a delicious PB…

-- Probably the worst thing ever for you, but putting EZ Cheese on oreos tastes like cheesecake. I haven't done this in years. -- I used to eat BBQ sauce on white rice as a kid. -- A coworker recently showed me that baby carrots dipped in peach yogurt isn't half bad. -- I make "nachos" out of tortilla chips and all sorts…

Hey! You're in Norman! I'm in OKC (well, Midwest City)! I've been getting the lifting itch too, but don't have a gym to call "home". I'm considering getting my own power rack and weights, and then going from there. ETA: I know, this response isn't helpful. BUT, I *am* in your area.

Clothes getting thrown on the floor RIGHT NEXT TO THE DIRTY CLOTHES HAMPER. Seriously, for real?? C'mon! It's irrational how upset I get about it -- they're just clothes. The sound of cardboard boxes/box flaps rubbing together. Any time someone starts talking about politics, specifically differences between Democrats and…

Yes and no. Some days I just want it done, and other days I could spend an entire afternoon hiking a trail or sweating outside doing yard work. I especially love how I feel after a run. My least favorite part is drumming up the motivation to do it on the days that I just want to go home, watch a horror movie, and stuff my…

I love this thread! I'd never heard of this term until the past week or two, but it makes sense now why I eat the way I do -- lots of veggies at dinner, and a serving of protein. Keeps me from sniffing around the cupboard at 9pm before bed. If I'm craving starchy stuff, I'll steam a whole sweet potato. This also answers…

One of my favorites: You get a friend request from someone with zero note attached. Accept because why the heck not. Then get the "What are your goals?/What workouts are your favorite?/What motivates you?" BS for the first couple messages, then BAM -- "moar pics plz". I cannot roll my eyes far enough into the back of my…

@deannalfisher I've done this with butternut squash and added pine nuts to it. Nom.

Grab yourself a rotisserie chicken from the store, shred it, and then use to top salads or turn into chicken salad. There's a great recipe for curried chicken salad that I just LOVE: http://www.kayotic.nl/blog/curried-chicken-salad Today I'm having a greek orzo pasta salad on top of baby spinach with sliced rotisserie…

There are a few people here that I've remained friends with since I first started on MFP years ago. - I've learned how to spot a "collector" for sure, and love responding to naughty messages like I have no idea what they're suggesting, or with heavy sarcasm. - I've learned how to search for a topic/question before…

BOTH OF THESE. But mostly the shredded pork. Because mmmm, meat.

I also know that some people will do this to intentionally push themselves a bit harder if the person they're next to seems fit. I have found on more than one occasion that when someone *DOES* use the machine right next to mine, if they're in better shape than I am, I tend to push myself more on my own workout. It's only…

http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/ --- she has brownies that she makes with cashew butter and sweet potato (I subbed pumpkin) that are just DIVINE. I topped mine with avocado frosting (which could also double as a pudding IMHO)

I do this too! It's hard to avoid, which is why I give ample space (if available) in a gym setting. Less about other gym-goers, and more about saving my own dignity. I used to do competitive equestrian riding when I was younger and have always likened it to a horse doing the same thing when trotting around an arena. Which…

Actually, I've used "woo" as a shortened version of "woo-hoo" for ages.... but I usually tack on a few more O's or make it all caps to accentuate the enthusiasm. I've never heard of it (until last week) being used for calling out bro-sciences or BS statements. I don't internet enough. :smirk:
