Another vote for tennis skirts. They have smooth and pleated varieties, and the ones I own have shorts attached underneath, not just a panty-type cover.

- Pre-logging meals when I can helps tremendously in getting a visual of what I have to work with, calorie-wise - This "hack" is cross-posted somewhere in food too, but I've found creating a "dip" with my chocolate protein powder to use with fruit is a fantastic way to help meet those protein macros while keeping me from…

Discovered a nice hack with my chocolate protein powder a couple days ago -- mix up just enough liquid with it to make a dip consistency and then use for fruit dip. It's been great so far with apples and raspberries. I don't like drinking my calories so this was a nice alternative to meet my macros!

@bourbon_n_barbells you had me at your username! :D

Today's "what nobody tells you" reflection - and I'm sure this has been mentioned a ton of times already - is that the body dysmorphia IS REAL, Y'ALL (not in the clinical sense, that's obviously real). Even with slightly increased confidence/comfort in my skin, I cannot fathom the idea of people actually finding me…

THIS. So hard. Self confidence is what I need to gain. Also, improved mental health. Clear out the gloom and cobwebs and make more room for joy.

For me, I didn't think I would be constantly thinking about food (but in a different capacity). It takes a ton of mental energy for me to plan, pre-log, think about groceries and the most nutritious bang for my buck, etc. While I'm not terribly upset about this because I'm not just thinking about the next bite going into…

I was watching a weightloss success story on YouTube. One of things she said gave me a light bulb moment: "The progress was slow, but you won't get there any faster if you stop." Brilliant. Duh! She also talked about how we can't trust ourselves because we constantly break our own promises - we respect others enough to…

Until I started this journey in way back when, I didn't realize how many ups and downs there can be -- a lot of it came from outside stress/unhappiness with life or work, and my drive for weight loss just plummeted. I've tried paleo and keto WOE, but this time I'm kind of back to the basics: calories in < calories out. And…

I guess my biggest NSV is getting back on the bandwagon after 6 months of slacking. Losing some of the same weight over, but I'll get there. And the great part is it's SO much easier to get started this time around.

Made an italian meatball and pasta bake with olives, mushrooms, onions, and fire roasted tomatoes with low-carb marinara. I allowed for larger servings, so the calorie content is pretty heavy, but it was quite satisfying! IIFYM... Tonight is a deep dish taco pie with loads of tomato, avocado, onion, etc!

http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group Lots of keto, paleo, etc eaters in that group. Plenty of tips, recipes, and support. There are other groups with the same mindset. Take some time to peruse those!

This week's mini goal is to stay under calories all week and reduce my sugar intake, especially since I have 2 Halloween parties to attend on Saturday, and I know I'll be indulging. I'm currently down with a wicked cold, so I'll be stuck getting exercise in by just walking. Still aiming for sitting solidly in ONEDERLAND.…

I always dream about familiar people, but they never look like they do in real life. Sometimes they look like totally unrelated people I know IRL.

Why not Zoidberg?

Apparently people are using them for vagina cleanses now?? http://www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/doctor-warns-women-not-to-do-the-cucumber-cleanse-in-brilliant-viral-post/

I have both versions of this: https://www.amazon.com/Shakespearean-Insults-Coffee-Mug-Shakespeares/dp/B0038TYV7I I also have one from Ireland that I just love. Really want to get this one made:

I am a wizard. I've had this handle since high school -- and it fits, in a sappy, romanticized, brooding sort of way. So I kept it.

One of my favorite pastimes with my work harem is seeing how many undertones/connotations we can get in a single sentence during a conversation. I think the record has been 4 or 5. Being strong, well spoken, AND not a douche is like, the holy grail. Kindness goes a long way. Which is funny, coming from someone who makes…

@unfilterednate No *kitten*.... hands on my hips make me weak. Also: Kind eyes, a really great laugh, a nice low voice. Dark, twisted, or sarcastic humor. I'm kind of a sapiosexual. The more I know you use your brain, the more mine sparks. But damnit, use those muscles too!

That if you have a lot of weight to lose, halfway doesn't seem like that much weight lost at a glance. I only really start realizing how much I've lost when I'm picking up dog food for my rottweiler (50+lb bags) or lifting my kid (40lbs). I still pooh-pooh away comments like "that's a ton of weight, wow!", because I see…

Ooooh, you. It's only 9am!

8.7 pounds away from ONEDERLAND. I am officially over my halfway mark to my UGW of 160 pounds. 51 down, 49 to go!

Another option is to do half pasta, half zoodles. I too have a small, cheap, pencil-sharpener type spiralizer. It does the job. Just be sure to salt and dry your zoodles before using them, to pull out excess moisture -- otherwise you'll have a soggy mess that isn't near as satisfying (imho).
