  • Well, I just moved almost 800 miles and we are temporaily renting a much smaller place. I had to leave behind a stair stepper, weight bench, rack of free weghts, and a smith machine. I was able to bring my treadmill, a few weights, rx ball and some bands. In my opinion, there are a lot of factors in what you want to get…
  • I love my hubby's broad, hairy chest. If he had back hair, we'd have had a serious talk about it. The back hair, not a big turn on.
  • I put spinach in mine all the time! Its a great way to sneak in another serving of veggies!
  • Well keep up the great work on the giving up drinking if you felt the need. I remember those days of the late night after the bars close visits to the diners. I'm married, again, with children, again. A glass of wine is a treat for me a couple times a week, but at home it doesn't cause me to want to eat. I wish you the…
  • I don't always have the time to log in on the weekends. Honestly, I don't even get around to replying to you all fine people like I'd like. I will say, since I posted this at the beginning of the week, I really have felt so motivated from you all, thanks!!
  • I allready know who my enabler is...My husband. I probably do the same to him. I've known all along we should be encouraging each other in the other direction. He's trying to lose weight as well.
  • 28 Pounds is awesome! I lost two and gained 'em back. That was weeks ago.
  • Well, ok Smith42, I'm fitmemom. Friend me!
  • With us, its making that meal the just a big part of the weekend. Its not like we don't go and do activities as a family.
  • I keep all that stuff here too. I teach my 5&6 yr. olds about eating healthy, but that crap my parents fed me is around here too. Old habits die hard. I think if it was just me, I wouldn't haven't in the house. Its hard too when you turn on the TV and see the "beautiful people" gobbling up processed junk on commercials…
  • I like being on the sight as well. Thanks to all who commented!
  • Sounds like you are doing a great job! Wish I had more time to run now that the weather is nice. At least I've got my treadmill. That, I can do early in the morning before sunrise while my kids are still sleeping.
  • Sorry not to have replied sooner. I get busy and forget to check. You are probably right about the numbers. Sometimes the calorie burn the site suggests for certain activities I feel may be off. I count my time working landscape maintenance and their definition is general gardening. Well, I do everthing from weeding,…
  • I've heard those yoga sessions and walking on days off being called "active rest" days. I personally don't see anything wrong about it. Listen to what your body tells you. I'm 47 years old and I have a hard time listening to my body. Me and this getting older thing don't get along at times.
  • I love running, outdoors when I can. Between HIIT intervals, and steady 6.0 to 6.5 mph I try for at least 15 miles a week. I also love to weight train, but right now only get in maybe a total of 60 minuites a week. Unless you count my job. When my husband needs my help with his retaining wall business, that can be a day of…
  • Oh great, I had two kids in my forties! I just turned 47. Right now I'm only dealing with my periods getting heavier and I'm kind of "swingy" in my moods.
  • I've read a little bit about tabata. On the treadmill?? Please tell me more.
  • Believe me, it is the best thing I ever did for myself. I quit the first time with the patch. That worked well, but started back up when I was going through a divorce. Then I got hypnotized back in 2000. Please only try to quit if you are really ready and you are surrounded by non smokers. After all these years I remember…
