I just quit last week. I joined WW in Sept of 2017 and found success first time ever. I slowly lost 17 pounds but I was double tracking here the same time. I've used MFP since 2009 with little success, not because of MFP but because I was tracking but not keeping myself in a deficit. I think the accountability WW gives is…

I joined WW in September and it is the first time I have been truly successful. When I first started I was using both then I stopped and was only using WW, but I think I need to use both. My love for WW has to do with the accountability. I love meetings. I think for myself WW provides me with the guidance to eat better and…

Great blog post. I wish you continued success on your journey.

The select techs are good because they take up less space. But they are bulky compared to regular weights IMO. Also the turning mechanism does not last forever or at least on mine it didn't. And if you drop one or it rolls off your step can break. I now have one working select tech and have invested in regular dumbbells. I…

The gym is not for everyone and that is ok. Do you have a space in your home where you can exercise? I am an at home exerciser and love it. No on to worry about me. I used DVD's, have a barbell, a step, dumbbells and kettlebells. Good luck, once you get past the first time it should be easier. Most people are to busy doing…

You need to reset your metabolism. Find your BRM and start eating that amount of calories and increase daily and slowly from there. A reset can take anywhere from 8 weeks on. There is a group on here that is called Eat More To Weigh Less. You might be interested in reading what they have to say on the subject. Your body…

I am at home an exerciser and use videos. Cathe Friedrich and Kelly Coffey Meyer are great for weight lifting. Cathe gives excellent form pointers. New Rules of Lifting for Women is great book. StrongLIfts is also a great no nonsense program that a lot of women use.

Does it happen with all intensties of exercise? I get a sinus headache once in a while after exercise but ibuprofen usually does the trick.

My suggestions would be to read the stickies on the board. Kiki explains a lot about the process. How it works, what to expect and why you need to be patient. Good luck on your journey.

You sound like you are moderately active at best. Have you tried Scoobys calculator at ScoobysWorkshop? I also have a desk job and like you try to walk on my lunch. I also exercise formally 3-6 times a week. I wear a Fitbit and it says I'm sedentary but it only tracks steps and it doesn't take into account weights, yoga or…

Sounds like jealousy or envy. Sorry you have to deal with that on the daily. Don't let them rain on your parade. You did this for you and not for them. Congrats on your success.

I used to use flavored creamer and then went half and half. I didn't miss the extra flavor or calories. Although I do sometimes splurge for flavored creamer.

You can add me also.

JESSICASMITHTV.com has lots of free workouts. I did her 30 minute Hiit this morning.

Amazing transformation!

Well said. I will be 43 in 3 days. 1630 + eating exercise calories per MFP. I would recommend using Scooby also for a good calculation. A half pound gain is nothing. Try not to sweat it. I will add I am also finding it difficult to lose weight but that is due to my own inconsistencies.

(((HUGS))) Sorry for your loss.

I will join. I only weigh in on Fridays currently. Now giving up food will be much harder.

I feel your pain. I have been on MFP for 2 years now and I have lost and kept off 2 pounds. It is frustrating. I feel like a hamster on a wheel. I lift, I eat, I do my cardio. I did not come from a vlcd. I love the concept and support of em2wl but I often question if it's right for me. But I do keep trucking a long. Good…

I bought my bar at Walmart it was about $100. It's not an Olympic bar though.

You are probably at the choice above moderate activity on scoobys sight. I would not choose lightly active. There is group on here called Eat More to Weigh Less. The group is awesome and has lots of info on eating tdee - %.

You can't wrong with anything Cathe. Great form pointers, tons of premixes, and well chaptered workouts. I like high reps more then STS total body but they are both excellent.

I eat between 2100-2500. I'm trying to find that number where I can eat and lose. I've been stuck on the same wheel for a while. Losing and gaining the same weight. Feel free to add me if you like.

You may have to up your TDEE activity level or eat back some of your exercise calories if they cause you to net lower then your BMR. I think it is mainly trial and error.

You can add me if you like.

Depends on how young. If he has the qualties your looking for in a partner, then why not. Age is only a number. Some younger guys are immature but so are some older ones. Do what makes you happy.

This thread took the guess work out of that insane PDF. Thank you for putting it together. It certainly lessens the intimadation factor.

Awesome transformation.

I have the F4 also. Very easy to use. Inexpensive. I've had it for a couple years now, it's very durable.

Congrats on your weight loss. Thanks for sharing your tips. I will definetly check out your blog.
