Pretty close to your age, and similar stats, so gonna echo the other poster who said 2lbs a week is unrealistic at this size. Even one pound a week is pretty hard. You might have MyFitnessPal set to two pounds, but literally the maths won't add up when there isn't much to lose. I know it's easy to get hung up on the…

Good for you!!!!!

I second the suggestion for stronglifts. There is even an app for it, with lots of little videos demonstrating proper form. Also it focuses on compound movements, rather than isolation exercises, which is ideal for starting out. I love it.

I'm about a month in on stronglifts. I've done the program in the past but never stuck with it... Always quit when my workout partner did. This time I'm doing it on my own, and it's a lot easier to stay motivated. I'd love some mfp friends who lift heavy to cheer on!

Sorry to hear about your job- that's rough!!! Definitely write out a realistic budget, and compare actual to budget at the end of the month. My husband and I were so surprised to see how much money we were actually spending on certain areas. There are a lot of good programs for this, but Excel or just plain old pen and…

I too am typically a lurker on the forums... There are a couple really great threads in the success forum for weightlifting gals that are super inspiring. I've just started out with stronglifts 5x5. I don't have any tips, but definitely cheering you on, lifting weights is so empowering!!!! (Even though my legs are so sore…

Adding you! Seeing others progress is definitely motivating!!!

It's only one meal. Don't over think it, or let it ruin your day or week... Or month! If it were me, I'd prelog 1000 calories, plan the rest of my day around that, and just eat what I truly enjoyed without worrying about the calories. Pick yourself right back up the next day and get back to it! And happy early birthday!!!!…

Just keep logging. I'm starting again after reaching my goal before, and then quitting logging. Just focus on keeping an accurate log, and maybe once you start to see results you will be motivated to stick with it. I don't have much motivation this time around, either. Just stubbornness, and that's ok.

Way to go!!!!

Agree with everyone saying go to the doctor just to make sure everything is ok. Thyroid, depression, nutrient deficiency or any number of other things could any one be the culprit. I had very low iron several years ago and once the doctor identified that it was a really simple fix, but I felt like a new person.

You can totally do this!!!! I get what you mean about being in the mindset to do this versus not, but you know, maybe if you just commit to going through the motions of doing this for yourself, the right mindset will eventually follow. Weight loss is a long term journey, not short term perfection. And good health is a goal…

Added you. You can do this! We are in the same boat- I was at my happy weight last year, but slowly stopped logging over the winter and the weight crept right back on! My breaking point was this weekend, when I realized it wasn't just a bad picture or clothes that stayed too long in the dryer... I'm up 15 pounds. I'm also…

I'm in the same boat. I'm turning 30 in a few months and want to lose this weight before then!

You look awesome, congratulations!!!!

I love cooking and cook most of the food eaten in my household, and still would most certainly not be thrilled with the hassle of cooking two completely separate meals. Also, if my husband was eating yummy food while I was stuck eating "diet" food, I would feel deprived and eventually cheat and give up on my "diet". In my…

Patience and a lot of dedication! I am 5'3" as well, sw 141 cw 121 gw 115. I feel like losing this last bit of weight is mostly mental, because I am pretty comfortable with my weight now and it's easier to justify eating at maintenance. I have noticed that I have to be much more precise with measuring my calories with so…

Congratulations on your awesome weightlifting results, but even more so on changing your entire life to be healthy inside and out!!! You have such an inspiring story!

You look fantastic! Way to go!!!!

Congratulations on the weight loss, that is fantastic!! Definitely get back to logging. Prelogging the entire day helps me see where I can make room for treats while still hitting my calorie and macro goals- eating enough protein helps with my cravings. What I do is carry an apple around with me every day. When I start…

Do you think it could possibly be non-diet related at all? Pollen season is in full swing where I live and it is no joke this year. But, if you feel like the headaches are due to low calorie, you could always change your mfp goal to a less aggressive one and see if that helps?

This will be my third garden, and the first year I am trying to start some plants from seed myself rather than buying everything from the farmer's market. The last frost date here is in about 6 weeks, and the seeds I planted are just starting to sprout. I grow a lot of the normal garden stuff - tomatoes, peppers, sweet…

I'm in the buy better coffee camp! When you find the right tasting coffee you won't need as much to mask the flavor- I just add a little milk to mine now and I used to have to drown it in creamer. Plus, you know, the fewer calories each cup of coffee has, the more you can drink! ;)

There is also the option to precook food in batches earlier in the week. I like to grill several pounds of chicken on the weekend so it can be reheated and used in other meals or eaten on its own for lunch or on nights I get home late from work.

I don't think cheat days are necessary or a good idea. It's completely possible to eat the kind of food you want and still lose weight, the key is just to practice portion control. Additionally, I think letting go of the idea that food is "bad" or "good" or that your day is ruined by going over your calorie goal is really…
