I don't see the need for makeup or anything like that at the gym, but I like to put my hair in a cute perky ponytail and workout in nice yoga pants and tops, etc. Just makes me feel like less of a slob. Some people are motivated with different things, and going into my workout wearing nicer-looking workout clothes helps me!

I've been having protein milkshakes: 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1-2 packets of stevia, 1 scoop protein powder, 7-10 ice cubes, and then whatever flavor I want. I usually throw in a couple tablespoons of sugar free, fat free chocolate pudding mix. Last night, I put in 2 tablespoons sugar free, fat free…

Who are you (leader of your crew, heart throb, coolest nerd EVARRR,) ? I was one of those people that was friends with everyone. I had my poor friends, my rich friends, my outcast friends, my popular friends, my church friends, etc. What 4 songs are playing in heavy rotation? "The Reason" by Hoobastank, "Leave" by JoJo,…

I totally agree. I think a positive attitude will get you far in life, no matter what your goals are.

Get an antifungal from your doctor, start taking probiotics, and do the candida diet until a week after it's cleared up. (Plus, it really helps with weight loss!) I actually wasn't too strict on the candida diet (I'll get YI's after a round of antibiotics), and just cut out all breads, starches, and sugars. A typical day…

This is what I do! I eat 6 times a day: breakfast at 7:30, snack around 10am, lunch at 12:30, snack around 3, dinner around 5:30-6, and post-workout protein snack around 8. Definitely works for me!

I'm rarely on Facebook anymore it seems, but am on MFP off and on all day long.
-
Haha, I know I'm losing weight when my underwear start falling down inside my pants all day.
-
It sickened me, but definitely made me think about my food choices.
-
I've never met any of my MFP friends in real life, but I have one I'm exchanging food packages with in England. I used to be very active on LiveJournal, and actually have several friends there that I talk to on Facebook, etc. One I have now known for years, has actually come and visited me and we text/email/FB all the…

I started doing that a few months ago and love it! I just usually put about a fourth of a scoop in there, but it does start me off well in the morning. =)

Oh definitely! Especially if they have grooves in them (the old-fashioned styled doors), they can collect a lot of dust and dirt. I Lysol or Clorox ours when we're sick, and in college, I used to wash our WALLS all the time.

You can get aspartame poisoning if you consume it often.

This. So sorry you had to do that, but you must be so proud of your son for wanting to protect you in that. That's why I don't like working out outside. Sad that has to be, but it's horrible that people want to make fun of overweight people outside being active or at the gym when they are obviously trying to change and…

I live in Missouri. Common-law marriage doesn't exist here. Especially not when they're breaking up and one's moving out and then they're getting back together constantly. She only said things like this to school officials, etc. Like I said, she wanted to legitimize their relationship because he wouldn't propose to her. He…

I agree with what the previous posters have said. You're single until you start dating someone exclusively, and you're not married until you have a marriage certificate. Teenage girls and immature people are the only ones I've seen with "married" FB statuses that aren't really married. My fiance's ex-girlfriend was with a…

You look BEAUTIFUL! I'm hoping to lose 80 pounds, so this is definitely inspirational. Congrats on all your hard work, you've earned this. =)

Nude with nude shoes. If you were wearing black shoes, I like the black tights too, but the three colors are a little distracting all together. I LOVE the dress! Hope you have a wonderful time. =)

AHHHHH!!!! You just made my day!!! I love Taylor Swift.

I can honestly say that I wouldn't. It looks gross. I'm not a fan of pies, and weirdly, colorful desserts. Now, if that had been a huge chocolate mound of chocolate stuff, then heck yes! I'd grab my fork and yours!

I loved it! I'm looking forward to starting the companion 60-Day Devotional. A lot of great advice and points to think about - and some great Bible verses to back it all up.

Peanut butter and jelly burger. My fiance got it all the time at this bar & grill we went to and it took forever before I finally tried a bite. SOOOO surprisingly good.

She just wanted to justify her cart full of unhealthy food when sitting right beside all your healthiness.

True! One of my friends was making a bunch of excuses the other night for working out, and I read her the quote I currently have as the screensaver on my phone: "The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullsh!t story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it." Harsh, but true. We make…

I structure my day around 3 meals and 3 snacks. I eat breakfast around 7:30, morning snack at 10, lunch at 12:30, afternoon snack at 3, dinner around 5:30-6, then nighttime snack around 8:30 or right after I workout. Snacks with protein really fill me up - peanut butter with crackers, nuts, Greek yogurt, etc.

I have it on my agenda and me and a friend were supposed to start this week, but it's been pouring down rain all week. I don't have access to a treadmill or anything to use instead, so I've just been doing different workouts this week and will start C25K next week when we have clear skies. =) (I'm sure people run in the…

Anyone is welcome to add me! I just finished "Made to Crave" and will soon be starting the 60-Day Devotional and have started working on praying for help on my weight loss journey.
-
That's awesome! I just finished the book "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst - it talks a lot about switching over your craving mentality and using the Bible to help you do it.

I ALWAYS pre-plan. I make our group decide where we're going ahead of time, and then I sit there and research websites/MFP and plan out my meal, and then I always plan a 2nd option in case they're out of ingredients, or my particular franchise doesn't have that dish. The hardest part is sticking to the plan when I get…

Thanks for the tips! I've heard the quarter thing, but didn't know you bagged your own groceries! Like you said, I'd like to see what staples I can get there and then supplement with a quick trip to another store (luckily, they're building it right across from the Super Wal-Mart and then Hy-Vee is on my way back home.) I…
