Don't neglect your long runs!! If you are going on holiday and need to change around your schedule, make sure you try to get in one day a week of doing the long run, and skip the shorties. I ran my first half marathon in July -- When my schedule got too hectic and I needed to twerk my schedule, I made the mistake of…

My best advice for you would be trial and error. What works for some runners may not be the solution for you! If I am running out of fuel on my run I know right away because I start cramping up. I have my best success eating an hour or so before my run. My favorite pre-run meal is a cup of coffee, a glass of water, and a…

I started training for a 1/2 marathon earlier this year and had a similar issue. I was only eating 1200 calories (not netting) and my runs were suffering (not to mention I wasn't losing any weight). Since I was new to running, I didn't understand how to properly balance my nutrition and exercise. I was not eating enough. I…

I have been accused of giving someone the 'stink eye' in the gym. I don't wear my glasses in the gym so I am constantly squinting to see whats going on around me. Sometimes there are two sides to the story.

Yup. I'm also currently a Lana-holic.

you can look at mine and you will notice I am ALL over the place. (Please ignore my booze-filled weekend binges...I struggle)

Totally sushi. I used to eat like 3 rolls and think I was being so healthy. It would be over 1000 cals!

Adam Levine.

If you want a wine spritzer, then order one!!! If I'm going out and watching cals, I usually have vodka/seltzers with lemon. I can only drink a few before I get nice and buzzed so I don't drink as much. Also, if you switch to just seltzer at any point, not many people would notice.

This is so hard for me to answer too. I was 160's at my highest weight and usually sit around 150-153. When I am at this weight I feel chubby. The lowest I have been recently is 146 and I still felt chubby. It has been so long since I have felt good about the way I look I suppose I will just go with how I feel. If I feel…

Currently I wear mine when I'm working out. Actually, I just got back from lifting and noticed it was pinching my finger today and I thought it was annoying. On the other hand, I would NOT feel comfortable taking it off and leaving it in the locker room.

I agree with everyone else! Keep showing up, keep trying, and you WILL improve. I had the same problems when I started insanity, I was sitting out and taking a break every few seconds it felt like. But after weeks of continuing to push a little harder each time, I noticed I took less breaks each work out and did more reps.…

I also agree with the 'in-between' size problem. Or maybe its just that I am not to my complete goal weight and it will sort itself out at the end. Here's hoping! :drinker:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who giggles every time I hear him say that haha

I used to LOVE the ramen before I saw this. Now I think twice before I shell out the .12cents for lunch.

Level one drills = me laying on the floor wheezing. DAMN YOU SHAUN T!!!!!!!!!

KEEP GOING!!!!!! I recently started insanity too and also have had to take numerous breaks throughout the workout. I'm on week 2 and I am already seeing an improvement in my endurance. And the catch is, as soon as you build up more endurance and strength, you start to push yourself harder and go faster, which may equal…

I've done the 30 Day Shred, as well as Jillian's Body Revolution. Both helped me increase strength, endurance and lose inches. I highly recommend both! :drinker: That being said, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to focus on your diet! I was very lazy about what I was eating throughout these programs because I…

Other quick snacks I like other than fruits/veggies: 1. string cheese 2. yogurt 3. sunflower seeds (because they keep me busy from mindless eating...not sure on their nutritional value, but I stay away from the extra salty flavors)
