The first pic I was miserable and felt so old... the second pic was the beginning of me starting to come alive for the first time in years. Now almost a year later, I am still feeling good. I still have lots of work to do, but I feel at least 10 years younger than my age!

The more you go, the easier it gets. People really are too into what they are doing to pay much attention to what you are doing. If you are struggling with an exercise, ask for help, there is nothing wrong with that. Don't be intimidated by others, you belong in there just as much as anyone else does, liftin those weights,…

Absolutely amazing transformation. You give this "fluffy mom" some hope! I have been following a lifting routine now since January and am starting to see results. It's really difficult when trying to lose weight (fat) and build muscle at the same time. But my body is starting to take better shape and I would do anything to…

Very very inspirational. You look wonderful, happy and healthy. I read your blog... Perfectly imperfect! I love it. This world would be pretty boring if everyone were perfect. Great job.

Ok thanks so much. That's what my gut was telling me but wondered what others thought. Thanks again.

Hello, I believe I can answer your question. I am a nurse and a Certified Diabetes Educator. I live in Canada and we measure blood sugar in mmol/L instead of mg/DL like you do in the states, however, I did the calculation and your blood sugar was actually normal given the fact that you had eaten only 40 minutes before…

Yes very noticeable. Curious how you did that in one week. Very good progress. Keep it up!

-I won't miss the looks I get from people when they see me for the first time in a while and realize, wow, she got fat again. -I won't miss sucking it in to zipper my coat and praying the zipper doesn't bust if I move the wrong way. -I won't miss feeling embarrassed and awkward at the gym being around all these lean and…

I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. Enough cannot be said about purchasing a properly fitted bike and seat. More expensive but if you want cycling to be enjoyable, you won't regret it!

I am 5'3" and currently weigh 164lbs. My goal is 140lbs. Maybe 135, we'll see when I get there. I personally feel pretty good at 150, and think I look ok there too. Funny how you can be the same weight at different times in your life and look totally different. I was 150lb about 15 years ago and definitely looked chubby. I…

I would argue to say yes, it does matter. Just because of my own personal experience. I have been logging on since September and trying to stay around 1500-1600 net calories. I was losing extremely slowly at first and by slow, I mean 2 lbs in 1.5mos. Not great... then I read "Wheat Belly" and eliminated wheat and grains in…

Truro, Nova Scotia. This is day 50 for me of logging in... I am on a streak and the day wouldn't feel right if I didn't log in. I find the success stories very motivating. Feel free to add me. :drinker:
