Change takes time, so allow yourself the time to make the changes needed. Don't try to make all the changes at one time, it is to much to handle. Make a change every week or every month. Start by watching portions, then add drinking water, then add fruits and veggies, then add exercise, etc... These are just examples of…

I met my goal weight back in November and since then I have been sliding. With the Holiday's, a death in the family, and being sick, I have given up exercising. I've lost my motivation and do not know how to get it back. HELP!

You ask "when is it enough?" Depends on what you mean by enough. Enough weight lost? - Did you set a realistic goal weight for your age and size? Did you reach it? Then yes, it is enough. Is it enough exercising? Since exercise is something you will need to do to stay healthy then no, it is not enough. Most of us see our…

I want to tone up now that I've lost 72 pounds and am at goal weight. I do cardio 6-7 days and strength training 3 times a week.

I took my rings in to get sized and when asked what size I thought I was now, I said a 6.5 or maybe a 6. When measured I was a 5.5. I've never been that size.

Got up at 4:00am, went to the gym and did my strength training circuit then did 65 minutes on the elliptical. Then went to work. Looking forward to the chicken and rice soup I made yesterday for dinner tonight.

Hi everyone. I am 47 and live in Indiana. I've been married for 25 years and have two sons (ages 22 and 19). I started my journey April 2011 and have lost 71.7 pounds. I've met my goal weight and am scared about not being able to maintain it. I do not have the body that I thought I would have after losing the weight but I…

You are not alone. When I lost my weight (71 pounds), I asked "where is the body I thought I would have?" My stomach was not flat and I sagged in places I've never sagged before. What is up with that? I lost the weight by watching what I ate and cardio. I finally talked to a personal trainer to see if the body that I…

What a great way to look at it. I am just starting to realize this about my husband. He loved me when I was big and now he loves me small. To him it does not matter my size.

You are a superhero. Congratulations!!!!

My tip - try not to do everything at once. Start with small steps and add more as you go. Remember that it is a life change not a quick fix. I've lost 71 in just over a year. My ticker only shows the weight I've lost since joining MFP. Starting weight 186 Current weight 115 Starting size 18W current size 4 height 4'10.5…

I had this about two years ago. I bought a pair of skeetchers. I only wore tham for about a month. The curve in the shoe kept my foot spread. It has been over two years and I have not had any pain in that time.

I am 47 with a hypo throid and am anemic. I have lost 70.96 pounds since April 2011. When I started my journey, I told myself "what ever I do , I need to do for the rest of my life. This is a way of life not a diet", so I tired to eat in moderation. Being a binge eater, this was very hard. I also did not try to change…
