  • Great thread. Congratulations everyone on your success so far. You are all inspirations and stories like these have kept me working hard instead of getting complacent with the fitness levels that I reached along the way. I started 1/2/12 using another program before joining MFP and have lost a total of 55 lbs. My best NSV…
  • Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet is awesome. I don't wear cologne, just soap and deodorant but I use those in this fragrance. I stayed at a hotel once where this was the men's scent and I haven't smelt anything like it or near as good.

  • I listen to Tool on Pandora. But I wake up to this TCU baseball The Grind on you tube for my morning workouts. Very motivating for me at least. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNL_DAI19_I&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  • Great Job!!! I am also doing P90X, I just finished my 122nd day this morning. Thanks to P90X and a non P90X nutrition plan, I've lost about 4" from my waist, 47 lbs, have gone from about 30% body fat to 14.5% body fat, and for the first time have muscle definition in my arms and legs. As soon as I get that last 4.5% off I…

  • Ouch, low blow. I don't think I will ever get over Game 6. But in 2012, so far, the Rangers are the best team in baseball, or at least that's what the record, and the sports writers, and well, everyone who looks objectively at the teams say.
  • I appreciate your opinion, I think Joe Cross and I feel different than you, but I respect your opinion. So perhaps you can look at it less as a "cleanse" and more of me wanting to drastically increase my fruit and vegetable consumption.

  • We bring in food to our ballpark here in Arlington, but there are also some healthy concession stands placed sparingly throughout the park. Also, Go Texas Rangers!!! And, FYI, the Rangers are the best team in all of MLB.
  • What I tell people, and what I did myself, is go talk to your doctor about it and tell your doctor everything that you are thinking as far as diet and exercise. It is the safest way to get results because they know your medical history and any factors that you need to figure into your diet equation, and is one more layer…
  • I've been running a 1,000 calorie deficit and working out just about everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. P90X mornings, runs at night. I've lost 45 lbs in about 4 months, but I spent two or three weeks taking it easy with broken ribs (skiing accident) and severe sprained ankle (basketball). My Dr. must love and hate…
  • 6'5" started at 260 in January using a different tracking app. Been on MFP for around 50 days and love it but would also like some guys going through similar struggles and pains. I'm definitely dedicated and have lost about 45 lbs since January and like to encourage others as they work towards their goals. Please feel free…
  • Good call on the snack. Watch out on turkey lunch meat has a lot of sodium. I didn't realize that until MFP showed my sodium levels off the charts. The best protein bar that I've found is called Pure Protein, I like the chocolate peanut butter. The best part about them is they only have 2g of sugar and low carbs.
  • I have had experience with that and it makes me feel kind of sluggish and proud at the same time. :) I usually do a protein shake or meal replacement shake. Almonds are good too. Really it depends on how you are dieting as to what works best. I am doing a high protein diet and therefore I mostly do the protein shake. If…
  • I run at a 1,000 calorie deficit and try to keep my calories 50% protein, 30% carbs, and 20% fat. The reason that I keep such a high protein number is so I wont lose very much muscle, which you will loose muscle on a calorie deficit, but I've managed to only loose about 4 lbs of muscle. I've lost 45 lbs total since Jan.…
