Congrats to @aeshippers and @bringbackthejoy you are definitely motivating me! Last month wasn't good for me as I gained rather than lost! Really need to do better this month. Height: 5'6" Starting weight ( 1 month postpartum) :160 Goal weight (pre-pregnancy): 135 July goal weight: 143.5 First of July: 148.5 8/07: 15/07:…

I took two weeks off of lifting form lifting while I went on vacation. Didn't gain any weight on vacation but after lifting this week I'm up 3lbs! It's frustrating but I know it's just water weight

I walk 10K steps a day often carrying my 10 month old (who weights 18lbs) but I don't count my steps or carrying her as exercise, that's just my lifestyle. I do consider myself to be "lightly active". It hasn't helped me to lose any weight! I've still got 10lbs of baby weight to lose. My arms are way stronger though, my…

This. My breasts go from a 36C to 34A when I lose just 20lbs. I have mostly fat tissue though and very little mammary tissue, I actually wasn't able to produce adequate breastmilk. I have a friend whose breasts stay the same size regardless of her weight, she had an oversupply of breastmilk.

I'm not sure about set point theory, I've heard good arguments on either side. I really liked Dr. Linda Bacon's book Health at Every Size. I recovered from Anorexia/Bulimia and definitely believe reactive eating is a thing. Once I stopped restricting my calorie intake excessively, I stopped binge eating. I did have to take…

Totally agree!

I was on vacation for two weeks so without a scale. Gained two pounds, which isn't bad considering I was eating out and at other peoples houses the whole time. Hoping I can get to 145 by the beginning of July. SW: 160 (Sept, 1 month postpartum) GW: 135 (pre pregnancy) June GW: 143 May 27th: 146.5 June 3rd: 147.5 June 10th:…

No, you can only edit for an hour after you post it. I just copy and paste each week and add the new weight.

I think the protocol is antibiotics and probiotics, but for me sticking to a low FODMAP or carb diet helps. Look up Fast Track Digestion. FYI, I'm a health researcher so I definitely don't believe in pseudo science, the guy who wrote the book has a Ph.D. in Microbiology.

Every day I have two slices of low cal toast with 20gms of natural peanut butter, 50gms of banana, coffee with light cream, and 1/3 cup of apple juice mixed with water...comes out to 350 calories.

I had a pooch before I even got pregnant, I think it's just my body type. I was quite thin ( 134, 5'6'', size 4) but I never did have a smooth stomach. Now 10 months postpartum my stomach looks pretty much the same as it did before. My friend had a baby around the same time and her stomach is flat again. I think it's…

I'm in! Lost 3lbs last month hoping for the same this month, despite a 10 day vacation. SW: 160 (Sept, 1 month postpartum) GW: 135 (pre pregnancy) June GW: 143 May 27th: 146.5 June 3rd: June 10th: June 17th: June 24:

All the tips on choosing the bike are great! Just wanted to say koodos to you for getting started cycling. It can be a bit intimidating at first but it really is an amazing activity. Stick to side streets or bike paths until you feel comfortable and be aware that your butt/crotch might hurt until you get used to it.

Cycling and lifting here too! But road cycling..spinning is not for me.

I try to stick to protein and veggies and avoid fried foods and carb heavy stuff. I have a glass of wine or a cocktail as my "treat". Those foods tend to be pretty easy to estimate. I also eat a couple of my husband's fries ;)

I'm on mat leave, but when I'm working I wake up at 6:30, cycle to work, get changed and then eat breakfast around 9am while I check emails. If I eat before I leave I'm still hungry after my ride and end up eating two breakfasts :/

I can empathize, I was bulimic for 10 years. Now I am heathy and happy and reasonably fit (had a baby this year). What worked for me was -* Prozac * Therapy (I saw both a dietician and a licensed social worker) * Giving up dieting for several years * Finding an physical activities I really loved so exercise felt fun and…

I do two days most weeks because I have a nine month old baby and find it hard to get to the gym. To be honest I'm really not progressing the way I was pre-pregnancy. I'm looking forward to getting back to 3x a week this summer when I return to work (will go on my lunch break).

Had too many drinks this weekend, hoping for a dry spell and weight loss this week :)

After years of getting stuck at 140lbs (I'm 5'6'') I finally got down to a very lean 133 two years ago. My "ultimate goal" had been 128, but as I was already a size 4 and looked great I re-evaluated. What changed was not my diet but the amount of exercise I did. I was cycling 25KMs a day and lifting heavy 3x a week. I was…

Age: 30 Height 5'6" Starting weight: 160 (September - postpartum) Goal weight this month - May: 145 Ultimate goal weight: 135 Last month I only lost 1.5lbs, really going to try and stick to my calorie goal this month and see if I can actually lose a pound a week. I'm going back to work in 3 months and all of my clothes are…
