I had been running in a pair of black cotton knit capri pants. However, since it's summer and the humidity here is a killer, I thought I'd try shorts. Pirates wore eye patches to actually help them see. They kept one eye covered so it would always be adjusted to the dark. When they'd go below deck, they'd use the eye that had been covered and was therefore adjusted to the dark.

I highly recommend C25K and this website to everyone that asks how I'm doing it. I'm also following Lysa TerKeurst's Made to Crave. If it hadn't been for that, I never would've been motivated to find MFP and C25K.

I've been using Jolessa since March. During that time I've been able to lose weight. Granted, it isn't as fast as I'd like, but I'm still losing. And the great thing is only 4 periods a year!

I just want to say that reading everyone's posts has inspired me. I started C25K in at the end of April/first of May. I'm just now on W4D3 as I had to repeat W3. I can't wait until I can graduate the program and be an experienced runner. I love it!

I usually have 1 - 1.5 oz of Jennie O Blue Ribbon Turkey (chipped), 2 slices of Merida Autumn Grain bread, 1 tsp of mayo/miracle whip, and a variation of fruit or veggies. Last week it was a Crunch Pak of carrots with ranch dressing. This week it will probably be raisins.
