It's easy to get caught up in all that... instead focus on taking small steps to improving your food choices. You'll learn that after logging for a while you are more incline to pick more nutritious food. Logging also helps you determine if you are missing something from your diet such as .. iron or protein... whatever the…

Don't forget if you are exercising and haven't in a while the first few months take into consideration muscle tone and/or building. It takes a while for your body to go into fat burning mode. Water weight can trick you with the few lbs fluctuations. DON'T GIVE UP! Once your body kicks into gear, you'll see it and it will…

Hot lemon water, and if you need it, add a little agave - delish and super healthy.

I eat very stratigically for nutrition purposes but iron is sometimes tricky to reach. I recommend a multi vitamin, I take centrum women under 50. It's important to add supplements/vitamins to ensure your body gets what it needs.

I didn't eat meat but I eat fish (daily). I also drink lots of smoothies and add protien powder (26g/scoop) and flax seed ( has protien too) and most days I reach or exceed my protien goal. There are lots of protien rich foods available if your not eating meat, just have to research a little. I recommend max muscle high 5…

I stay way from cereal! My day starts with a smoothie ( high protien and fiber). And then I snack all day between meals. Never starving and works for me...

Don't stress, be patient. Since I started I've been so diligent about my food and exercise, I love looking at my logs and challenging myself - thinking, "ok, what can I do better today". This last week I was really worried about traveling (for work) and being in a hotel... Out of my comfort zone for food and exercise. I…

Before I started MFP commitment I went to he doctor and brought up fatigue too. He was concerned about vit D because of.... What he called my "celtic skin" lol. The blood tests he did showed vit D & b12 deficiency so I started taking supplements. I noticed some of the #s in the CBC were low or out of range low so I…

Visit some threads on this list, they are inspiring. Be patient and don't just focus on the scale. This is a mentally challenging game. Learn how to be in tune with your body- love yourself regardless. You are not "fat" you're working towards a goal for health reasons, it's a journey not overnight success. If you don't…

It's awesome, keeps your goals in perspective while you log your food, exercises., and water. It's kinda hard to keep at it unless your really committed. I log everything! However when I first downloaded the app I only did it a few times and then ignored it. Each day is a learning tool, at the end of the day you look at…

Do...don't ...do....don't. Ahhhh! What I've learned works for me is taking most of my calories during the day. I snack all day, eat something every couple hours even if it's a string cheese or hand full of almonds. I actually get most of my exercise in the evening and won't be ready to eat until sometimes as late as 9-10.…
