I love my Charge HR. I had the flex before and I'm very happy with the upgrade. Its great to see your resting heart rate and to be able to see when your getting your heart rate up enough when exercising. Plus the watch style band is AWESOME. Much much better. Most definitely worth the money.

I missed this somehow. I am a beginner runner so I use the term loosely. We usually (my GSD and I) go around a 5K currently, wanting to try upping my distance. This is not non stop running. Its walk/run intervals. Still working on running the full thing bc well I suck at running lol. I guess I should have put more detail…

I understand where you're coming from I really do. Small breeds just aren't cut out for it and its just cruel. It was the generalized statement of all dogs shouldn't run that got me. I would never take a chihuahua out on a 10 mile run. Thats animal cruelty. But for a conditioned husky in Alaska that has plenty of water and…

In that circumstance it is definitely selfish on his part. In some breeds it benefits them quite well as long as youre paying attention to your dog and its needs. My older dog is a German Shepherd. Shepherds are known to become quite destructive if they are not exercised quite extensively or given a job. I personally can't…

This does make a lot of sense. My question is....what is defined as 'long distance running' serious question here lol. Im new to running hence the walk/run pattern.

Thanks everyone! I loved all the great answers. So far all Ive done with her is training walks a few blocks around working on the leash training. Stop, sit, etc. Mostly for the leash training and distractions. We do go to the dog park for exercise. My GSD has been going on runs with me but it is run/walk intervals bc I…

I did a couple days ago. Like way way over limit. I had a Jimmy Johns cookie that was 400 calories!!! For just the cookie!! In addition to candy, pop, ice cream. It was a whole day of over-indulgence. Back on track now!

I use fresh baby spinach as my base for my salads. I like it a lot more than lettuce. Also you can chop it up and put it in your omelette.

Try a prong collar. Do your research first though so you are aware of exactly how to use it. It has done wonders for my GSD http://leerburg.com/fit-prong.htm

It's more bc I feel like I don't have the self control at night that I do during the day. I usually eat a small snack right before bed to try to help. Like an apple or banana. But usually I still do it. A couple hours after I go to bed is when I want to eat

This is like in the middle of the night. I wake up and eat then go back to sleep

I quit about 2 months ago. I had started changing my ways about a month before that and decided they had to go too. It's tough but very doable. I hated the extra strain it put on working out. Plus I was getting healthy in every other way, seemed like a good time. Keep up the good work!
