It's not true that two runners at the same weight but different fitness will burn the same calories. Imagine two identical cars, one with slightly deflated tyres. One will burn more fuel because it's less efficient.

I found the formula online which I tested and found it worked. The last part of the equation subtracts 11 points from the total. My guess is that this 11 points accounts for the 49 weekly points and fruit and veg. Therefore they are allowing 4 points for fruit and veg which is around 160 calories. Many people will eat more…

I'd only been running a few months at the time so plenty of room for improvement! Also I was nearing the end of my weight loss back then and did the recent PR at about 16 lbs lighter.
