I think you're right! Good advice! :]

I am thinking 30lbs by Jan may be too ambitious... maybe more like 15-20 lbs. Well, anyway, anyone with similar goals should feel free to add me.

Thanks!

...anyone? LOL

Thanks all! I will definitely look into getting shoes ASAP--hopefully that solves the problem! :)

YES! I actually receive food stamps right now, and I wish this were the case. Right now my food stamps will permit me to buy energy drinks and ice cream, because those are "food," but NOT whey protein powder, because that is a "supplement." Ugh!

So, I'm just going to mostly ignore the entire debate on the forum and say -- I identify as a "feminist" to people who are sensitive and subtle enough to appreciate the difference between being feminist and being misandrist (as most dissenters on this thread appear to be missing). I used to even be okay with the "radical…

It's an interesting idea. I am just glad your subject line was not a tongue-in-cheek statement claiming Obama was born in Kenya...

If you want a healthier source of electrolytes than the sugar-filled Gatorade, try this! http://www.sunwarrior.com/store/liquid-light.html Promise I'm not being paid, LOL. I just have fond memories of the stuff because it helped me during recovery after I went into a coma due to sodium depletion.

If it's any consolation, one of the guys in the thread just admitted to the fact that his current girlfriend was his former babysitter.

Raw, unprocessed honey is much better than table sugar! It is chock full of probiotics, which are the beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract and are essential for the function of pretty much every physiological process -- especially for brain health and the immune system. Only local honey helps with allergies, and…

I feel you on this, by the way. As spotless as I am about my diet in every other way, coffee and tea are habits I've never been able to break. Is there a reason you can't use honey and organic (maybe even raw) milk in place of table sugar and creamer? Also, check out the coffee/tea/caffeine section of this podcast for more…

I'd stay away from the creamer (no dairy except kefir) and sugar and ideally even the stevia, if your goal is to lose weight. Adding artificial sweeteners doesn't add calories and I am aware that Stevia is plant based; nonetheless it can still make it hard to resist cravings because you're not addressing the underlying…

Arctic Zero is a whey-protein based ice cream which has 150 calories per pint. Frozen kefir is good in this vein too.

I dated a much older man for a while when I was 19-20. We are still close today. At first, it honestly *was* about the prospect of being lavished with gifts. He is extremely wealthy and even offered to pay for an expensive grad school I was interested in. But it was also about mentorship and life advice. I appreciated his…

I'm Alexandria and I live in Tampa -- any Tampa residents looking for a workout buddy? :)

Hey everyone-- no clue how to post pics on here, so I am just going to link you all to my pic via Tumblr. It's a "before-after" but in reverse -- before I gained weight and after I gained weight. :) http://forms-of-triumph.tumblr.com/about

I'm up for it! Just added you.

So sorry to hear about this. Number one: Do not internalize what she is saying!!! I am not out to some of my family members because I know this kind of judgment would occur. Especially sad do hear they are so ignorant about the impact of having LGBT parents. All I can say is to try to take the high road and rise above. I…

I hate to say it, but I think there is no way around the PMS issue other than having willpower of steel. I am in the same boat right now, just as I begin a new exercise routine, and I am just having to power through, cramps or no cramps. Though, on the bright side, I do think that working out regularly actually relieves my…
