Goal: 30 lbs by Jan. Think I can do it? :] (With pics!)

Hi All -- Haven't posted these pics on MFP before, so here goes.
I joined a while ago and was good about logging and working out for a while! Lost ~10 lbs, (175 to ~163) but haven't weighed-in recently so not sure where I am now. But my goal is to get to 135 by this January. Is 10 lbs per month an extreme goal? I had been previously busy with a fundraiser for my videos but that is over so I have more free time to dedicate to losing weight. Plan to count calories and jog as well as take advantage of the free gym with weights in my apartment complex. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
And here are my pics of where I was before the weight gain, and where I am today! http://forms-of-triumph.tumblr.com/about

I don't think you're heavy enough to shoot for 10/month. Shoot for 1/week and be ecstatic over any extra0

I am thinking 30lbs by Jan may be too ambitious... maybe more like 15-20 lbs. Well, anyway, anyone with similar goals should feel free to add me.0

Hi Alexandria,
Congrats to you for getting back in the game. As for your 30lbs by January goal, because you weight a reasonable weight at this time (as in, not obese/morbidly obese) your body may not be able to lose at such a swift weight. When I started my journey I weighed 260 lbs, and 10 lbs/month for me after the first 30 lb loss started to be a bit much without going to extremes. Perhaps trying for 1-1.5 lbs/week would be a good start, this way you can make some lifestyle changes instead of risking a fast fad diet that won't stick long-term. Good luck to you.
