People are often critical of what they don't understand. They believe all overweight people are created equal and what works for them should work for all of us, which isn't true. Their lack of knowledge and understanding makes them critical. Just ignore those people. You'll find great people on this site that will offer…

Sorry to hear about your accident, it sounds like you are on the way to recovery. I had the sleeve so I don't have any experience with the bypass. As a sleeve patient I can tell you I eat protein first, veggies, followed by fruit. I rarely eat bread and if I do it may be a few saltine crackers. I use a food scale for all…

I weigh daily along with logging my food and exercise. That daily reminder that I'm doing well even when the scale does not move motivates me to keep working on the weight loss, diet, and exercise.

Good job. You have to be holding those pants up from behind because there is no way they could stay up on their own. I like the miniature you in the second picture, she even has the pose down.

Marvelous and wonderful

Wow, you did an amazing job but then reading your post I believe you are an amazing person. I love your view on life and those around you! Please don't let this be your final post, you have too much to share. Great job!

Wonderful, thank you for sharing.

Wow, you are the incredible shrinking man! Excellent job.

Good job! You look great.

I'm 3 1/2 months pre opt and I average around 700 per day. My dietitian said to get between 600 and 800 per day. I'm still supplementing with a protein drink daily to keep my protein around 80 grams per day.

1. Get at least 7000 steps in before I leave for work. 2. Walk in place as work during conference calls - any movement is better than sitting. 3. Walk the dog. I've been ignoring him for the treadmill and that isn't fair to him. 4. Log my food. 5. Have fun on my sleeve journey.

Wow.. what a great job you've done. Looking at your pictures your today picture looks almost like the daughter of your yesterday picture. I don't know how old you are but you look like a teen. I hope my weight loss reverses the clock for me. Congratulations, job well done.

I eat out at least once a week. I generally order something that will make good left overs or I order a salad. Eating out is just a part of life that isn't going to change. I usually try to look at the menu before arriving at the restaurant so I'm not stuck with making a poor decision. Go and enjoy.

I'm 3 months out and I can finally tolerate the vitamins. I never had to throw up but I felt miserable after taking the vitamins for 20 - 30 minutes. Taking the vitamins was the worst part of my day.

You've done fabulous and you look great!

Congratulations on your surgery and life change. I had the gastric sleeve 2/2/15 and some days I feel like a pro at managing things other days I feel like it's all new. I'm still making adjustments to different types of foods. I'm still adding in one new food at a time to make sure my new stomach tolerates it well. Portion…

dragonflies6 - One thing you have to your advantage is your husband will be on the journey with you. You and he can support each other 'if' you have a craving for something that might not be on the plan. I'm nearly 3 months out and I haven't had any cravings for foods that don't add value. I was a chip, bread, and pasta…

Talk though the fear with your doctor. I did and it was the best thing I could have done. He addressed my fears and put them into perspective for me. He also told me he hated complications more than I did and assured me I would be ok. Ask as many questions as you need from those in the medical profession until you feel…

Great job!

You'll do well. All journey's begin with a single step, you're on your way. Feel free to add me as a friend.

Jl191 - I'm about 8 weeks out from surgery. I'm still supplementing my protein with at least one protein drink per day. Portion sizes do restrict getting enough protein from meals. I try to have one meal that contains protein, veggies, and a starch (dietitian suggestion). My other two meals are mostly protein with a…

I got up when my alarm went off this morning and got in 6500 steps before heading to work. When I got home I only needed 2000 steps to complete my 10,000 for the day.

What is the drain for?

The liquid diet is the easy part because your choices are so small. Drink plenty of fluids so you go into surgery well hydrated. Congratulations on setting the date.
-
I was out for two weeks and asked the Doctor to let me return to work because I was bored.

You're looking great, you can really see the weight loss in your face and tummy.

Congratulations on starting the process!
