  • Dragon Door now has some for women - that only means that the handles aren't as thick. My trainer is so jealous - she loves my 16kg bell!!
  • Have you searched on youtube.com? They are free and there are some good ones.
  • Good for you!
  • You need to find something else to replace this habit. Maybe take a warm bath, or find a good book, brush your teeth and read in bed. This is a hard time for me also - good luck.
  • Congrats on your amazing weightloss - keep up the great work!
  • Hope you enjoyed your walk! It is beautiful in the DC area today ;)
  • I'm next! Hi, I'm a 48 yo, married for 30 years (in May), and the mother of two daughters, grandmother of a sweet 8 month old boy and expecting another grandbaby in October. I had my kids quite young, when I was 18 and 22, and my metabolism was a furnace. It had to be: I gained 80 pounds with my first - lost it all by 4…
  • We bought the series also. We also bought the 7 Deadly Sins/ 7 Lively Virtues DVD and workbook. Fr. Barron is so wonderful. He has been called the modern Bishop Fulton Sheen.
  • The calorie count for dry seeds are in the foods listings.
  • I"m planning on seeing it tomorrow! Thanks for the tip on staying through the credits.
  • Love Chia! I add one tablespoon to my cottage cheese. If you mix them with water and let it sits the seeds form a gel that you can use in recipes. They really don't have a taste, more texture. I don't find they give me more energy, but they do help me from getting hungry too soon! They are so high in antioxidents they…
  • I have been using KBs for a couple of years - for the past year working weekly with an RKC trainer. LOVE them!! Tracy Reifkind is awesome - she has several videos on youtube and several for sale on Amazaon or through dragondoor.com. I hope this board becomes more active! Glad to meet fellow KBers!

  • It is both, but I log it as cardio based on what my heart rate monitor says.
  • Hi, everyone! I'm 48 years old, with two married daughters and 1 1/3 grand-kids! (newest due in Oct 2012) My passion is Kettlebells. I hired an RKC certified trainer last June and love my workouts. I've gained 20 pounds since Thanksgiving because you can't out-train the amount of junk I've been eating! I actually eat and…
  • I try to eat within 30 minutes of getting up to keep my blood sugar steady. I have cottage cheese with chia seeds, nuts and reduced sugar fruit spread. Usually keeps me until lunch.
  • I log all my exercise!
  • That's the amount MFP calculated for me too. Very generous if you ask me! I work out 4-5 times a week. Once a week I do an hour of Pilates reformer and the rest 30 minutes of Kettlebells. What about you?
  • WOW! Congrats to you on making it through such a horrific accident. Walking is a good exercise, low impact and good for your mental health too! Are you working with a physical therapist? He/she should have some good suggestions. Re: eating, eat "clean" keep processed foods out of your diet and you'll do pretty well.…
  • I realized 7 years ago that I have a real problem with sugar - think drug or alcohol addict - only with sugar. Once I start I literally cannot stop until the food is gone. A site I found really helpful is radiantrecovery.com. Good luck!
  • I concur. I highly recommend Tracy Reifkind - she lost 120 lbs doing just the swing. She just released her first book which is excellent for beginners, imho, called The Swing.
  • I've been using KBs for several years and with a certified trainer for a year - Jillian Michaels is DANGEROUS!! with KBs - please check out dragondoor.com or google Tracy Reifkind. Please learn the safe way to use them so you don't hurt yourself.
  • Yes that has happened to me in the past - I think it happens a lot. I have relied on my heart rate monitor for years! Good luck with your fitness plan!
  • I'm 48 years old, 5'10.5" and currently 183. I got down to 150 about 7 years ago, but looked gaunt. My plan is to get to 160 and see how I feel. I work out 3-4 times a week with kettlebells and do pilates reformer classes one day each week.

  • I have a regular pressure cooker that I have used for over 20 years - I LOVE it! We call this Chicken Casserole - not sure why! 4 servings 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks 1 onion, chopped 1 T olive oil 4 medium potatoes, scrubbed but not peeled, cut into quarters (I like yukon gold) 1 lb package…
