You'd think that but it gets to stage where the pleasure is in saying no. I learned this with drinking, I used to be a big weekend binger, the hangovers got to much so I stopped and actually enjoyed waking up hangover free, the pleasure came in saying no. Similar happened yesterday, I sat and watched my family eat so much…

Well guys, an update. If I was gonna *kitten* up Christmas Day was gonna be the day to do it and well I didn't. Christmas dinner in the UK is all about the biggest dinner of the year, turkey, roast potatoes, little sausages in bacon, stuffing, mashed potatoes, roast ham, gravy, cranberry sauce the list could go on. Well I…

I eat under as scared of gaining weight again. The big deficit means I can eat really whatever I want at weekends if I want and not have to worry I guess.

Yes tracking is a bit slack as past while mainly because I know now what contains what etc and I've been maintaining this past 6 months. But yes my calorie goal is 2300, I average around 1800 during week and probably 2300 at weekends. I'm allergic to seafood so can't touch the stuff. It's lean because I've still 20% body…

Thanks for all the advice guys. I've been lifting weights for a year now and it's all about macros. I eat chicken most nights as it's extremely high in protein and lean, It's not easy getting that with meat. At weekends I let myself go a bit it's just during the week I dread. I need 160g of protein per day which as I say…

Have to say I never expected the cold to be this bad, as winter begins to bite the only time I seem to be warm in when I am sat in front of the fire. Even at night in bed with a 15 tog duvet and 2 wooly blankets I am still cold when I wake in the morning. It hasn't even gotten that cold yet, yesterday was 2c / 35f and even…

This is interesting, In the UK we have mince pies which I presume are the same as your mince tarts. They are the staple over Xmas and almost forced upon you. One small mince pie contains between 200-300 calories and 2 or 3 bites later its gone so easy to go over board on them. The parties here in the UK contain damn all…

Junk food, a selection of deep fried fayre. Cocktail sausages, battered chicken goujons, scotch eggs, sausage rolls. Certainly wasn't any green beans and sweet potatoes, that's why I passed.
-
Your forgetting I've done it before and lost 60lbs.
-
I didn't come on asking for that advice. I also post on bodybuilding dot com and that was the advice.
-
In fairness guys read the original question. I did ask for advice yes. Diet advice.

I am 20%+ body fat. You don't attempt to gain until 15 minimum.
-
I love how any thread I post the advice contradicts the other. My previous thread. To much body fat. Cut more then into a slight surplus. This thread the opposite advice.
-
I was never in a surplus during my lifting so no muscle was built. The lifting helped with my fat loss but that's about it. Once I shift more fat then I will go into a surplus.
-
Fat covers muscle. My plan is to start with a clean frame. I have been lifting 10 months and no muscle built.
-
Tell me at the moment I eat complex carbs would switching to simple carbs help or would that go straight to fat? Beef I tend to avoid as its harder to measure the fat content, I mean chicken's chicken, its easy to measure, beef especially things like mince or sausages in hard to measure.
-
Ha ha, my problem also.

I had this yesterday. In the U.K. We work with stone rather than lbs. An older guy says " Dave don't loss any more weight please, how much do U weigh now" i told him 12 stone, No way are you 12 stone, more like 11 which is around 150lbs, He is 13 he told me and to me looks thinner than me.
-
Oh yes lost it to quick, 60 lbs in 6 months, I am skinny fat.
-
Yes exactly it is the older generation that give these comments.
-
Its got given as a compliment though, its a "Your looking to skinny now" comment.
-
This really is the key and its hard to get people to understand this, they seem to think you need to give up everything and live off water and leaves to lose weight, you don't need to give up anything.
-
Thanks for clearing that up. I generally don't need any fat with what I eat anyway, so really coconut oil is no more beneficial than say sunflower oil or even butter. Probably more marketing hype as its expensive compared to regular sunflower oil for example
-
I've lost 60lbs and drink 4-5 Bud light or Coors light every Saturday night, (Drinking now  ) Its all about working it into your calorie allowance over the week. You don't have to give up anything, moderation is the key.
-
So really it has damn all to do with fat loss as the hype claims?
-
Its also apparently very good for the hands after a heavy dead lifting session. But seriously its got a lot of hype, almost like its some sort of miracle oil.
-
I am guestimating. I don't go totally overboard at weekends. I have 1 cheat meal, usually Saturday nights, which is generally a Chinese take away / Pizza and a dessert, but I always have a few beers as well. So that leaves my breakfast and lunch clean as per during the week. Sundays similar sort of thing, clean breakfast,…
-
Very true, what someone said earlier made a lot of sense, If I didn't have these binges there is a good chance I would have given up completely by this stage.
-
Could be, its usually gone on a Tuesday/Wednesday
