OK but how do my weekend binges work in with that? I don't have a clue really how many calories I eat at the weekends but its enough for me to gain a little weight on a Monday morning.
-
I lift 5-6 times per week, Each session is roughly 30 mins and consists of 5-6 exercises, 5 reps x 3 sets. Looking at the Apple health app it tells me my average daily steps are 10,665

I've been at maintenance all summer, I have to go right back to the start of the year, I think you can view my weight reports? Roughly 1kg per week which is 2.2lbs
-
Ok, this is worked out using this calculator https://legionathletics.com/how-many-calories-should-i-eat/ http://imgur.com/a/CSqFo I am 6ft 175lbs or so. TDEE is 2082 Cut is 1666 Bulk 2290
-
2080 is my tdee

If you bothered to actually read the thread you would notice I eat on average 1800 cals per day on average over a week. Exactly what another post suggested.
-
Yep there are some things I can't moderate either, perhaps its safer just to not buy them or buy a smaller 1 serving size.
-
The binges have always been there, even from day 1. So while I eat 1500 during the week, the weekly average has probably been just slightly below maintenance levels to allow the weight loss. I guess for weightloss it just proves it doesn't matter what you eat as long as your in a deficit.
-
I'm 6ft 174lbs, No I put in the 1500 cals. I'm not hungry during the week, OK maybe for the first few weeks yes I was but I'm not any more, but even when I binge its not that I'm hungry its more I fancy it.
-
I'd probably still binge at the weekend. If you average over the course of a week I am probably averaging out at 1800-1900 cals daily
-
I am quite aggressive during the week, could be lower than 1500 but with weekends it all averages out to about 1700-1800.

WOW excellent results. This will probably sound stupid but anyway. If your not going to build muscle in a deficit whats the point of lifting? Sure my strength has went up, I am lifting more than my body weight in a lot of lifts but I have nothing to show for it. They also talk about newbie gains, being in a deficit I take…

It was an interesting article, its not the first time I have heard that though that dieted folk are primed to regain fat compared to naturally lean people. Its why so many folk after a diet put the weight back on and a bit more I guess. Easy mistake to make, looking at them pics myself you certainly not think there is a…

You really know how to give a guy hope, so your saying this http://imgur.com/a/rC63w is 30% body fat?
-
Right message received, drop 250 deficit and trust the process.
-
Nope but I would have at least expected some results for what month 9 I am now into.
-
Where does this leave my lifting then? At the moment I am pi$$ing in the wind wasting my time as there won't be any gains and hasn't been since I started.
-
Right so 250 below maintenance? My maintenance is 2060 so that's 1810 per day. The cut is gonna take a hell of a lot longer, the main reason I went 1500 is speed.
-
It's 20% at least. Any form of deficit isn't building muscle though, even eating at maintaining didn't build any muscle.
-
If you look at my weight loss scale it will show I'm at maintaining all summer and what happened my build? Damn all, no muscle built. I'm not convinced weight loss is the way to go, I think I need some muscle on my frame first and the only way to do that it seems is a slight surplus
-
1500 per day roughly

Sorry but I've always followed a program, bigger leaner stronger by Mike Matthews, I was also doing strong lifts at a time as well. Genetics may well play a part, my father is lighter than me and still over weight. At my lightest I was 10.5 stone when I was 19, would you believe I was still fat so I don't believe more…

Here is something that baffles me. No point starting another thread so will post in here. I came across this on a friends facebook. This guy went on a cut same time as me, I lost more weight but he looks slimmer, I was also working out 5-6 times per week, this guy 3 times. http://imgur.com/a/65iTi he started at 15 stone 5…

Yes this is it exactly. I have a sweet tooth, In the evening I used to eat bars of Chocolate, maybe 150 cals plus and I'd maybe have 2 of them. Now I have a Rich Tea biscuit, around 35 cals each, quite a saving. All in all it kind of reminds me of being on unemployment benefit, you only have a small amount of money and you…

I agree totally, If I'm honest I always thought it was bull myself until I started tracking everything. It's simple really and it works. It all boils down to food volume, getting the most food for your allowance. Obviously eatting a McDonalds is gonna make a big dent in that allowance but still doesn't mean you can't eat…
-
No I wasnt.
-
My build looks exactly the same now as it did 60 lbs heavier, everything is just in a smaller proportion.
-
I guess its desperation at this stage, or feeling like I have wasted my time.
-
To be honest I don't know what I'm doing now, I am winging it. I only have a small home gym with a squat rack and few benches, most programs require some machines, Its hard to find a decent free weights program. At the moment I am still maintenance, I took summer off. The plan was to cut again from September through to…

I can't eat anymore as I have a high body fat percentage, if anything I need to cut again. I gave up Strong Lifts in June as it was to much. OK I have only been doing this 8 months and I have been in a deficit, but I should have had some results. I may as well not have bothered lifting a single dumbbell.
