Fat in volume takes up a larger amount of space then muscle. Muscle has more density but 1lb of weight is 1lb of weight. If you are on a deficit you are not gaining mass you are just on a plateau. Up your cals and change up your workouts and up the intensity.

Yes and no. It did give me signed to eat more and then I did and my body still kepy packing on the lbs. Ultimately it did stop and get back to normal though.
