UGH!!! This is so frustrating. I swear, some people don't even read the post! They saw the title (set your goals while pregnant) and ASSUMED I'm trying to lose weight. I'm not an idiot! I said I want to know how to set the goals in MPP to accomodate the extra calories I am supposed to eat while pregnant. Because I want to…

White Chicken Chili 1 big jar of great white northern beans (do not drain) 1 jar of salsa (or just a can of tomatoes, or tomateoes with chilis... whatever you prefer) 1 big can of cooked chicken breast (the kind that comes in tuna style cans) - you could double this, or use 3 small cans, if you want more chicken 1 can low…

Ok, here's an idea... We could start Monday July 11. That gives everyone a chance to order and read the book before we start. In my experience, most people I've played with prefer to start the game on a Monday, and since it may be hard to start on July 4th, we'll start on the 11th. You don't have to read the WHOLE book…

I like the idea of honoring our fearless leader in the team name. The other suggestions are all great, but I would vote for something that has some sort of signifigance to this group... and since Vic pulled it all together... some ideas.... Vic's Losers Drinking the Vic Kool-Aid The Newsors (combo of "New" and "Losers")…

My advice for weights is too look at what you have and then what you you need, and do the math, it might be cheaper to just by the dumbbells you need, or it might be cheaper to get something like the boflex selectable weights. i have a hodgepodge, but i only had to be 20s and 25s, so I just bought those and not an…

Well then, why doesn't the government stay out of the lives of people on welfare and other such programs, and stop giving it to them all together? The point is, if you are accepting help from the governement, you should also be required to accept conditions and/or fines for not adhering to the conditions of the free help…

I did all but a few weeks of ChaLEAN extreme about 2 years ago. I loved it, but I hated the cardio part of it. It is set up into 3 sections: Burn, Push, Lean In each section, you do 3 days of weight lifting, 1 day of cardio alternating low weight/high reps, and 1 day of cardio w/ a yoga-ish stretch. So the calendar is set…

I don't think the solution is to fine people. But I do think that if the government is "handing out" money, food stamps, insurance, etc.... that they should monitor the people that are getting it, and be sure they are using it properly. If the government is giving you aid, then they have every right to tell you how you…

I really really really reallly want a body bugg. A body bugg will tell you how many calories you burn ALL DAY which is far more accurate than what MFP will tell you. BUT... they are EXPENSIVE and you have to buy a monthly subscription to use it. ALSO EXPENSIVE. So I opted for a Polar F6 HRM. Now I at least know how many…

That's not what calories in and calories out means. For example, (I'm just using round numbers) if your maintenance calorie level is 2000, that means your calories out just by breathing everyday is 2000, so you should eat 2000 calories to MAINTAIN your weight. calories in = calories out 2000 = 2000 Now let's say you…

It sounds to me like you think you SHOULDN'T eat back your exercise calories, but you SHOULD. At least some of them. My fitness pal gives you a NET calories you should consume, which means Calories out minus calories in = net calories. whatever you burn in exercise is calories out, which would increase your net you don't…

Thanks... I was kind of doing this just on a hunch, and no real proven reason. I just felt like 1250 was way too restrictive for me to actually do it. But if you did this, and it worked, then that gives me confidence that I'm making the right decision.
