my boyfriend and I lift together. He started SL about 3 months after me. He is very fit and lean but wanted to build super bada$$ muscles so I showed him what I was doing. It was a bit of a hit to his ego to have me show him correct form on some lifts, or critique the way he did something... Now all is well. He is still…

this. Stronglifts or starting strength are great beginner programs. I did stronglifts for about 5 months and I had ever lifted before in my life.

agreed that everyone is *different*. *different* things work for *different* people. that's why I said not to make generalizations.

add heavy weights.

this is not new information OP. I balanced diet = health. I have PCOS. I'm healthy, lost weight and not insulin resistant. and surprise! I eat lots of carbs. Whoever is making generalizations - just stahp.

Had to go down a bra size!

No problem! I was thinking it was more of a psychological thing myself. Tried 100 again the other day and felt like a weakling lol thanks

got my stuff of craigslist. spent about 400$ all together Body weight exercises will suffice until your financial situation improves.

Do not let anyone tell you that you are cheating by getting weight loss surgery. Is it possible to lose weight with out it? Yep. It's your life. Your choice on how you want to proceed with your own weight loss journey. **** It is not and end all be all to weight loss. It is a TOOL to aid you in the process of becoming a…

I started Stronglifts 5x5 and it was very easy to follow and got me great results.

when you eat below your TDEE for long period of time it can change your metabolism & make it slower. According to countless TDEE calculators mine should be in the 2300 area, but because I ate a deficit for a long period of time - its actually around 2,000. Also - eating at a 1000 calories isn't a sustainable choice for…

go with the light or moderately active setting for TDEE. this isn't the absolute answer to all of your problems though - sometimes TDEE and calorie numbers have to be experimented with over time. It takes patience. It took me a few months to find out what worked for me. If you stick to you, you will figure it out and see…

im still a c cup but my boobs are def smaller than before.

well I don't have any before pictures(my daughter is just about 6yrs old now!) But I did gain around 72lbs with my pregnancy and I got my body back :) my profile pic is about 2 months old.

this is simple. if you choose to eat 1200 calories and use alcohol to fill up those calories rather than food with actual nutrition, then being healthy really isn't a priority to you. Yeah, you'll lose weight - but you probably won't feel very good. But if you want to actually feed your body nutritious food, nix the…

^ agree. no one realizes this is a healthy weight for height????
-
you are at a healthy weight for your height. I think at this point, controlling your blood sugar is more about your daily food choices rather that "getting enough to eat". Make good decisions about what carbs you choose to eat. So what if there's 70 calories in one egg? I never eat just one. Have two in an omelet with some…

locust pose really targets my lower back. camel pose is pretty good too. upward facing dog.

I go on long walks with my doggies and try to do yoga at least once a week.

how exactly do you plan on eating the pancakes without the ingredients?
-
yes it is a known side effect of certain classes of antibiotics to cause hearing loss. its called ototoxicity.

I like to have a protein shake within 2-3 hours of my lifting. Just make sure your getting enough protein all day. That's what really counts.
-
I don't usually eat anything before lifting. I will feel sick if I do.
-
I quit counting for 2 weeks, started back up yesterday. I realized I wasn't eating ENOUGH. I would have a coffee here and there and wait til I was starving and stuff my face at 6pm. Not meeting my protein goal which I kind of obsess over. So, back to counting I go.

^ agree. it doesn't seem possible to pack on that much LBM in such a short amount of time, ESPECIALLY on a deficit. How did you doctor calculate this?

"Hormonal birth control is often associated with weight gain. According to the Mayo Clinic,*** however; hormonal birth control doesn't actually cause weight gain. Instead, it causes you to temporarily retain water, which makes you feel like you've gained weight. It can also increase appetite in some women, which leads to…

19 days is impressive. how did you measure this.

I constantly skipped meals then pigged out after 5pm. Maybe a Danish and a latte for breakfast. Burger king for dinner. chips and dip. a snickers.. pepsi.. wine to relax at night. DIET FAIL. PS - my healthy meal would be a salad topped with ranch dressing and chrispy chicken loolololol

I warm up with all of my lifts using this >>> http://corw.in/warmup/

I am sick and tired of people blaming their birth control for their weight gain. "I was on birth control and I gained Xlbs" birth control does NOT cause you to gain weight.
