I'm about to turn 44, and have been consistently logging in for about two and a half weeks (on and off MFP for years, though). I've lost 2.5 pounds so far and am feeling motivated to keep going and lose about 9.5 more. I had a non-scale victory today when I went for a run and didn't feel like I was going to die. :D

I'm supposed to eat 1200/day because I'm only 5'3", but it's nearly impossible! I run and lift weights and I'm finding that I absolutely have to eat the calories I've burned or else I'm super cranky. But then again, I'm not really losing either. I'm pretty stuck, actually.

@tiagayepfa Yes, we do have a lot in common. :) How much are you wanting to lose? Or are you just in maintenance phase right now?

I'm only 5'3", so VS model isn't exactly my aspiration, but I definitely want to be strong and athletic and about 10-12 pounds leaner. I identify with how hard it is to find support to lose the weight when you're already technically in the healthy BMI range. It's nice to have the support of other people in the same boat.…

@aeshippers It looks like we have very similar stats. I'm also 43, similar height and have the same weight goal. Congrats on being so close to reaching your goal! It's going to take me a while at this rate.

I have a 1200cal/day goal, am 5'3" and 137 lbs. I have a hard time not being hungry unless I exercise and can eat back at least some of those calories. My weight loss is very slow but it's working.

I'm one of those people who has had a plan to lose 5-10 for like five years but just can't seem to keep motivated because I keep thinking I'm really not that heavy (skinny-fat!). Now I've gone and gained another 5 lbs. so I really feel like I need the accountability part of it. Several of us have pretty similar goals and…

Just for today (Wednesday): - Drink 6 glasses of water (oddly, the toughest goal to keep) - Take vitamins - Go for 30 minutes walk/jog - Stretch - Stay under 1260 calories
-
JFT Monday: - Take my first boot camp class at my neighborhood workout place (not really a gym) - Eat healthy foods within my 1260 calorie range - Take my vitamins - Drink at least 6 glasses of water

New to this thread (but have been a MFP member for a while), and this seems like a great way to not feel overwhelmed. Just for Friday: - go to a new neighborhood fitness group that I joined - remember to take my vitamins - drinks lots of water - enjoy a "family movie night" with my kids and husband without snacking

Just turned 40! Height: 5'3" (on a good day) SW: 136 CW: 133 GW: 127 Married with two kids (ages 4 and 8) I'm trying to get back in shape by running, doing zumba and yoga and short HIIT workouts. Also going to try to cook and eat more whole foods.

GapBody has really great that are longish (http://www.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=1006976). I love Athleta Shimmy Shorts (http://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1005088&vid=1&pid=983384002), but they're a little on the expensive side. I have a smaller waist and bigger booty, so it's nearly impossible for me to…

That sounds exactly like me! Of course everyone's frame is different, but I'd really look and feel better at closer to 125. I seem to hover between 130-135.

I do think people under-estimate how hard it is to lose that last five pounds! Your body tries so hard to keep it on, for some reason. The key for me is to journal. When I do (even cocktails and bites of chocolate!), I almost always end up losing something. When I think I can do it without journaling, then the weight…

I love a good glass of port too! Tonight I'm going to a friend's birthday party and I just don't have the desire/will power to *not* drink wine, so...I think I'll indulge in a glass or two and try to make it up with a good run tomorrow. :)

I'm in too. Have between 5-10 lbs to lose and want to get back in shape tone-wise. All I'm doing for exercise at the moment is running, but I'm about to start boot camp next week. I can only imagine how sore that's going to make me at first. I'm sure I'll be walking funny for a few days. :D CharletteMad - now you're not…

Yeah, I wouldn't mind looking good in my birthday suit, either. In fact, I was thinking when I reach my goal, I might get a new bikini and take a little weekend getaway trip with the hubs. It would be a reward for both of us! ;)

When I first signed up a while back, I only had about 5 lbs that I wanted to lose (they're so stubborn!) but I totally fell off the wagon this summer and now it's closer to 10 lbs that I'd like to lose. I'm 5'3" on a good day and now weigh 136. I have to admit, I'm in a slump - I feel badly that my clothes are tight and I…

I'm 5'3" and about 134 right now. I'd really like to get down to 127, but would be OK with 130. I was doing Jenny Craig last year and lost weight easily, but am having trouble keeping it off. I just need the motivation to keep exercising and controlling my portions. Overall, I'm very healthy (ran a half marathon two years…
