New York. Would you rather be stranded on an island totally alone, or with the most annoying person you know?

Sending a friend request. I am trying to eat more to lose, I never net under 1200 EVER, usually net my 1410 and eat 1600-1900.

Now I want Bob Evans' banana cream pie. I used to work there, and make those pies. Problem? Where I livenow, there is no Bob Evans.

CHACOS. Love them.

Plan for those things you will really want, have a controlled portion and move on. I will want french fries, so normally I make baked fries. I eat ice cream regularly, normally small portions of real icecream. Sometimes I will buy frozen yogurt, so I can eat a bigger portion at that time of the month. I try to be realistic…

Gorgeous, they were absolutely beautiful... and that's from a non-tattooed person. They were tall flowers on the backs of her calves. She had a few other in not-regularly visible places as well, all gorgeous. I asked her where she had them done, and it was somewhere in Florida, I can't remember what city now. I seriously…

I think some tattoos are beautiful, to each their own. I don't think they are "me," but that's besides the point... Of course having a tatt wouldn't make a girl ugly! I went to college with a girl that had the most beautiful tattoos I have ever seen on her calves. They looked like watercolors, very vibrant, and the shading…

As a former server, I never found it rude, I just assumed they had special dietary needs.

So, I posted this on the (rather explosive) "Fat Acceptance" Topic, so, it does contain the defense of that set of ideas. Please don't let that derail this thread, it's just part of my story. Again, this is copied out of another thread: This was not my first introduction to Fat Acceptance. This site was my first…

My mom used to make this. She kept a container in the freezer, and would add those inevitable couple of spoonfulls of vegetables from dinner that were leftover to the container in the freezer until it was full. She would usually make pot roast, then use the leftover potroast and gravy as the base, along with canned…

It's not really an alternative. I buy Magnum Mini ice creams bars. Real ice cream, real Belgian chocolate, smaller portion 160 calories. Totally fulfills my craving.

I do sometimes. I really did in the past. I remember having a group of girls I went to concerts with, and feeling like I was the "fat friend," (now I realize I wasn't fat, I just wasn't as thin as they are) or sort of girl-next-door-ish compared to their sexier looks. Later on, one told me that she was always jealous…

If you have a cast iron skillet, you can use it to sautee a bunch of veggies.... or if summer squash and onions, if you are like me and can eat those two things by the bucket I always loved banana boats as a kid for a healthier dessert - a peeled banana, chocolate chips and marshmallows in tinfoil heated by the fire....…

Let success be your motivator. Trust me, as you lose 10, then 15, then 20 lbs, you will feel successful. I've lost 18 in 3 months. Fast? No. I have AT LEAST another 12 to go (probably another 17), but the more I lose, the more confident I feel. Most people don't seem to even NOTICE I've lost weight. I do. My husband does,…

It's important to think about muscle mass, too. I am small - medium framed by the tests, but even my Dr. has noted how muscular my legs are, and said I should have my body fat % checked when I get close to goal, rather than beat myself up for not being able to get to the middle of the healthy BMI for my height.

I've never worn one, which in retrospect, is crazy. However, I was built like a grown woman in my teens, and thought I was fat because I had hips, so I didn't wear one then (totally should have). Then in my 20s, I thought I was fat (at a healthy BMI) and didn't wear one. BY GOLLY, when I get to my goal weight, I'm wearing…

As long as you are losing steadily, I don't think this is a bad idea. Also, it's not TOO far off of fitting if you can get it on your body. I did this with a pair of jeans...but now they are big, too.

1600-1800, but I NET 1410. I eat back almost all of my exercise cals. I also try to look at my weekly totals, because on days that I burn 800 cals or more, I really struggle to eat them, but I have high and low workout days, so I might be "over" some days and "way under" others.

This, or keilbasa (there are turkey keilbasa). I try to eat clean, so I normally do organic pork sausage, and eat ALOT of kraut, 1 sausage (topped with whole grain mustard), a small potato and have a salad before dinner.
-
I agree with this, too. Pre-prepared omelets are hard to measure cheese in. Is there going to be fruit? Eggs, bacon, ww toast and fruit makes a mighty good breakfast. With maybe a small cookie to dunk in my coffee. MMMM.

http://thefeedingdoctor.com/blog/2010/06/23/easy-leftover-chicken-enchilada-casserole-2/ Enchilada casserole, it's my husband's favorite thing ever. I add sauteed green peppers in the the onion, and frozen corn to up the veggie count. I usually serve it with a green salad on the side, too. Yum, yum, yummy.

I ate a a restaurant that had sweet potato biscuits. Great tasting carbs for sure, but I'm a little dubious on the good for you.

Thanks! I just ate Morningstar Black Bean Burgers the other day, and love them, but I'm trying to cut the processed foods.... Yay! Now if I could just find an acceptable Luna Bar replacement....

Love it! Last time I made it, I used coconut milk and put in sh*take (yup, it'll censor that) mushrooms, a little shredded coconut and green onion. Had it with crab cakes, mixed greens and mango salsa (I think I need to make that again soon). It reminds me most of couscous if you have ever had that. I've made it with…

I have one on each side of my right ankle. I fell and broke it in two places (a plate and 8 screws are still in my ankle). All of my other scars are really boring.

I indulge in things I want pretty regularly, but the one thing I have a hard time fitting into cals or justifying are french fries. So I would have Penn Station, Five Guys or my Mom's homemade french fries. Tons of ketchup.... and...... rootbeer from a local rootbeer stand where I grew up (just because I live 6 hours away…

Buy the pie, invite friends/family over, share the pie. Have one slice and savor it... just my point of view. You can have more pie again in a week or two. I just think if you eat the whole thing or half of it, you might feel guilty... and guilty pie doesn't taste as good.
-
I agree. I am trying to give up the guilt... if I truly, truly want something, then I will have it. I may wait a couple of days to make sure that cheesecake craving isn't a passing thing, but if I want it, I have it. I usually split it with my husband, though. If this healthy eating thing is a lifestyle for me, it's not…

I do not eat Paleo or Primal. I try to eat clean MOST of the time. Now, for the record, I do not agree with EVERYTHING this organization has to offer, but Weston A. Price holds many of the standards and ideas of Paleo/Primal, but does allow for some grains, if prepared "properly" to reduce phytic acid. I am not trying to…
