Personally, I enjoy cooking so I don't meal prep in the way you're describing. Also, my boyfriend enjoys variety and rarely eats leftovers. my kid is hit or miss no matter what is made. It would probably make things easier, especially for those who are challenged in the cooking or time department, to cook once for the…

I thought saturated fat lost some of its scare power.. Hahaha :)

Is that a direct quote from the conclusion? If so, I don't want to struggle trough the rest of the article. Are companies supposed to highlight the potential cons of their products during marketing? If a person needs calories, carbs, and fat..or finds it delicious and wants a treat..nutella is a good product. I'm with…

This. I drink tea and water daily to keep my water retention down..but mostly because I'm thirsty/my body needs it. It's the same principle as the 'detox'..drink enough fluids.
-
I understand that. Even so, seeing 97.8lbs is a shocker.

What's wrong with white bread, Nutella, and Butter??? As long as she stays within her calorie goals and is eating a well balanced diet..theres no problem eating those things.

She's 5' tall. Although it doesn't sound like she has the healthiest mindset..106 might not be out of the question. Especially if she is small framed. If she is not small framed, 116 might be more realistic.

There aren't any bad carbs. Find a bmr calculator through Google to get an idea of what your body needs to just be alive. If you don't have enough energy you are probably not eating enough. I prefer a TDEE calculator. Calculate that at sedentary, give yourself a 15-20% deficit, and then eat back half of your exercise…

I know! It seems crazy. I looked too thin at 112 in high school. I do have a bigger frame..but still.

Sour patch kids. Jello. I wouldn't worry about reaching your carb allowance. If you do, cool. If not, that's cool too.

Apparently I can weigh 98lbs and be considered healthy. I would look like death.

Who eats garbage?

You're welcome. Ignorance can be maddening.

When would the crash occur? Personally, I have more energy on low carb low calorie (high fat) than I ever did with moderate to high carbs. It's been five months now. However, I do have reactive hypoglycemia..so carbs cause me to crash multiple times a day if I eat above a certain amount. If one adjusts intake as weight is…

Just curious..what wall?

Is that so? What's clean really mean anyway?

I eat very low carb (~5% carb on average), maintain a calorie deficit, and find it to be very beneficial. I've lost 30lbs since the beginning of October..about 5lbs before using MFP..and 25 with MFP. My diary is open if you would like ideas. I went on a road trip Thursday and Friday..so those days weren't the best. Calorie…

I'm 26, 5'3", 155lbs and eat about 1280 calories a day, on average, when I don't exercise. When I do exercise, I eat at least 1200 plus half of my exercise calories. I have MFP set to 1480 but usually don't end up eating that much.

Rest day is usually a break from my current program. It's a day I don't bother with recording calorie burn.
-
That's subjective..but I would definitely consider myself to be low maintenance in the grand scheme of things.

Weight lost: 30 lbs since October. Method: eating at a deficit (eating less moving more) and keto. Deficit for weight-loss.. keto for insulin regulation. It was hard for me to remain in a deficit while my blood glucose levels were always dropping. I had to eat in order to correct it. Also, excess insulin inhibits fat loss…

This. I don't even have a type when it comes to appearance. I'm one of those weird people who is drawn to the person.

I have an end of the day snack. Luckily, its usually necessary to get my fat macros and calories where they need to be. I either have frozen berries blended with heavy cream, water and Stevia or heavy cream whipped with almond butter and Stevia.

Agreed about the weight and the calories! OP, I gained .3 lbs in less than 12 hours today... I weighed myself this morning and then once before I got into the shower because the scale was there. It's completely normal for fluctuations to occur.

I like butts. Flat butts make me sad. Eta..after thinking about it a little more I'm definitely a butt girl. I watch a lot of wwe..and talk about the butts (male and female) more than anything if I do mention physical attributes.

I've actually been using the accuteck postal scale. I had it from selling and shipping things. It works. I just bought an ozeri epicurean scale today because it looks nicer and my scale is always out in the kitchen. Hopefully it works as well as my postal scale. Haha.

One pound a week is pretty decent weight-loss. I can see a difference between the pictures. For one month this is great. Imagine what the difference will be by six months! Keep at it!
-
I prefer digital. The dial scales I've had weren't as accurate or convenient. You can also get weights to ensure your scale is reading accurately and calibrate accordingly.

I think that it's an awesome tool to keep my blood glucose stable without medication. I was not able to lose weight without it or medication due to my bg dropping so often. It is not for everyone.

I'd say kickboxing..but that's probably because I'm too uncoordinated in the dancing department for zumba.
